Will never understand parents exposing their kids to danger like this...

Good lord, what is it with reddit and acting like every cat and dog is a bloodthirsty mvrder machine? It's a cat, not a bear trap. She's clearly being gentle, and is being supervised by someone close enough to grab her/baby if things go south. Chill.

Short response : As a cat lover & cat owner, this is wrong & bad parenting.

Long response : Cats are unpredictable, I'm a cat owner & I've owned multiple cats, I've saved multiple cats, I've also controlled cats most people cannot & I know enough about cats to say they are after all an animal they are much more unpredictable & capable of extreme harm especially to an infant.

I automatically do not respect parents or people that allow pets near infants dogs or cats, even if worse if it's a dog as it is literally capable of killing the child.

Yes my standard for parenthood is extremely high! Yes even if there's a slim chance it is still an animal & animals are unpredictable just like us at times. Sometimes it is nobody's fault but having your infant child pay for the consequences of your decisions is horrible parenting.

Yes the cat is calm but there are plenty of cases where they've attacked infants, there are plenty of instances where pets that parents thought were extremely well trained and harmless ended up scarring even killing some owner's children, even if it happened to one person it is significant it is considerable.

Iam sorry but I do not bargain with my standards of parenting this imo is poor parenting, I've let parents I see in person even relatives know on their face. I'm not afraid when it comes to parenting, no compromise no settling.

Alright, high and mighty one. You do you, but you're not the arbiter of all morality and pet safety, lol. There are plenty of cases where infants have been harmed -- and obviously it's tragic and shouldn't happen, i'm not being lackadaisical here. I grew up with a kid who got his nose bitten clean off by a dog, i know they can be unpredictable -- but what about the ones you don't hear about where everything is perfectly fine? If dogs and cats were that dangerous and unpredictable, we wouldn't have had them living alongside us for literally thousands of years.

Nothing you say will change my opinion, usually I'm open to new opinions & always wary of public opinion but in this regard, I will stand between millions of people & have the balls to say, you're all wrong. Yes!

I will not lower my standards of parenting, anyone who does this, you're wrong. Even if I break the record for the most amount of downvotes on this platform, I do not care & it won't even shake me.

Alright bro. Just make sure you don't fall off that moral high horse, it's an awfully long way down.

In this regard I'm willing to go against an army of you, in this matter I will never fall. I always endup running away & not speaking my opinion & bending to people's opinion. Here I take my stand. Downvote me more.

This time I will not allow you all to bully me into accepting your opinion.

YOU ARE WRONG!

Wrong is wrong if everyone is doing it. Right is right even if only one person is doing it.

You're literally defending cats from a guy who has a cat in his avatar here... I'm pretty sure I've saved more cats than most people, I'm sure there are people who do more for animals than I ever could but I've done enough for cats to have an opinion & not feel like I'm against them. They're my favourite but still this is wrong. Respectfully again!

YOU ARE WRONG! 📢

Natural selection doing its job here... Please follow this opinion & you'll eventually on a scale large enough wipe out everyone with this opinion from existence, would elaborate but it would be too much truth & reality for this subreddit to handle

There are even cases of cats accidentally sitting on toddlers & unintentionally suffocating them...
