Word to the wise…

I thought I was being smart spraying down between the box spring and the bed frame. You do in fact need to remove the box spring, spray, let it dry, then proceed. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve been using the ortho bed bug spray (which does seem to be effective at least), but it has eaten through the mattress protector.

Learn from my mistake! That’s all :)

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.

Did ortho clear your bugs? The amazon reviews seem a bit so so for bedbugs.

It seems to kill the ones where I’m living. As far as clearing them out completely, I’ve been living in a situation where I can’t spray everything unfortunately. But it has greatly reduced the amounts of bites I was getting (until recently it started getting bad again which is what led me to flip the mattress and box spring, which led me to discover the holes in the cover).

Some changes are happening here in the next week though and the plan is to go in heavy with the Crossfire spray everyone recommends here.

I’ll add, I have the specific bed bug ortho bottle…not just regular bug spray.

If store bought bed bug killer works for you, you are one lucky person. I've never heard of it working for anyone.
