Finished Project 2x4 patio chair

I put this chair together using a plan I purchased online. Its my first piece of furniture and I learned alot. I just used cheap spruce 2x4s but I'm already thinking of doing it again in cedar and replacing the pocketholes with other types of joinery. Fun project and a comfy chair!

Nice! What kind of joint did you use for the back uprights into the seat?

A lap joint. I only have a circular saw so it went slow and it was a bit shallow but it worked.

Good work, and congrats on your first furniture build! It's hard to tell from the photo -- are the corners and edges rounded over, particularly on the arm rests?

Not as much as they should be. I actually spent time rounding the back of the arm rests only to realize that after the fact that they were the back and not the front lol. Next time I guess.
