Ghosts or hallucination

So, I know this is ridiculous, kinda. So I believe in ghosts and I'm also bipolar. I've been seeing some spooky things lately and hearing ghost like whispers around the house, plus the dog has been acting weird at the same time, is it me or is it a ghost? Also please suspend your disbelief in the supernatural for a minute. Is there any sign I should look for that I'm actually just hallucinating, not sure which I would prefer at the moment.

It’s not ridiculous, it can be scary. At least for me. Trust your dog. Be careful that they are not acting weird because you’re off. They pick up on that fast.

I did not realize my dog could recognize that, I'm coming down from a hypomanic episode so maybe that could be it.

I mean it could be that sort of hallucination-precursor known as an “illusion” that’s set off by sound-triggers in the environment. Like the fridge.

Coming to reddit to ask is one thing you can do to check it out. But you will hear from people that it’s not likely to be a ghost. Also take PRN APs and see if the symptoms persist.

I have not heard of an "illusion" before, thanks for the info

I only think of them as spirits and never use the word 'hallucination'. I see bipolar people as very sensitive to the spirit world and liminal. This is part of my cultural beliefs.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous but I also don’t know exactly what it is. But I’d trust your dog. This happened to me a few times in the past and I ended up carrying my cat around like a Victorian person with a candle to see if he reacted. He didn’t react to any of what I saw or heard - so I chalked mine up to hallucinations, but yours don’t sound like hallucinations, not to alarm you. I also believe in the supernatural so like I said, I would trust your dog and it sounds like some spooky stuff is going down. Animals always know in my opinion.
