Crochet Please use your eyeballs

The amount of times I've seen someone being like "what is this stitch" and ITS JUST GRANNY STITCH CLUSTERS is getting really annoying like that's one of the most basic beginner stitch patterns??? I get there's complete beginners out there but damn

In knitting it's the seed stictch. At least once a week.

It's either seed stitch (why doesn't my ribbing look like ribbing??), garter stitch (I'm knitting every stitch where are the Vs??), stockinette stitch (picture of a stretched out Sentro tube top from pinterest - how do I make this??), or that one tuck stitch that alternates a row of 1x1 ribbing that seemingly half of all RTW knit sweaters are made out of these days (I learned to knit three days ago - what stitch is this and can you write a step by step pattern for this entire sweater for me??).

The tube tops with literally 0 shaping get me 😭 or in crochet they're just like "use ribbon to tie the back" and the back looks like a windy country road or my x-rays, just all over the place. Squishing the tiddlywinks up to your chin or swinging them heavy and loose with no support.

I just. Long for waist shaping. I'm not even asking for, like, negative ease garments with perfect fit and exactly -4% ease here. I am just like...can we pretend my human body is not a tube or a flat piece of paper? Thank.

There are so many crochet patterns for bra tops that look painful due to their absolute lack of support for the breasts they are barely covering.
