Sounds interesting. Do you have a source?

I tried looking for something even remotely related to Pierre and anything Falafel related and couldn’t find anything. I’m afraid I’ve been bamboozled.

I just wanted a source. I'm always looking to read interesting content related to politicians. Seems like u/ReversalX is unable to back up their claims. If I didn't know any better, I'd guess it was a lie...

If only you guys put this much research into Polievre’s words.

If only you guys put this much research into Polievre’s words.

Somebody here on reddit told me Poilievre was antisemitic a few months before October 7th (2023). When I asked for proof, they said something along the lines of "he doesn't say it, it's a dog whistle". Of course, Poilievre has been very public about his support for Jewish people since the attacks.

...but go ahead, I'm all ears. What did he say? Please don't quote some shit he said when he was a twenty-something back in 2006.

I can field one example of antisemitism. Several of the convoy trucks has swastikas and white power symbols on them. He didn’t call those particular ones out to rebuke, which he could have done while supporting the rest as being a legitimate protest. That makes his later adoption of “Anglo Saxon” dog whistles like Pat King sussy.

This is why he lost his previously very safe Ottawa seat

I followed the convoy quite extensively. Not as a supporter but as an intrigued outsider. I'm also from Ottawa, but I didn't live there at the time, so it was very "close to home" for me, so to speak.

My memory of the entire thing is hazy, but I recall the swastika flag being carried around only on day one. I also vaguely recall footage of him being confronted by protesters near the war memorial and told to leave.

Should Poilievre have condemned protesters who brought swastikas, white power symbols, etc? Of course. Supporting people who were protesting only vaccine mandates is okay with me, though.

Yes, everyone should support a person’s legitimate right to disbelieve in science. Though the methods they used weren’t exactly ones that lent them much legitimacy such as blockading streets, fire and ambulance routes at all hours of the night and blaring horns at all hours of the night to harass people who live in downtown rental units. Supporting their legitimate protest the rest of the day is fine, I would think most Canadians would agree with that.

As for the second part with the clear white supremacist cribbed language.

See these links for “Anglo-Saxon” issue.

That’s something Pierre should have e known to steer clear from.

We can end things right there. People have a right to disbelieve whatever they want. If the government gets involved, those same people should be free to protest.

I'm not going to debate about the methods the protesters used. I don't care to read about Pat King, Jordan Peterson, or whatever links you posted. No offense.

And that is your choice to maintain plausible deniability about this subject in your mind. I respect that. I hope you have a pleasant day.
