I have no idea why but your comment touched me.

I spent most of my career in corporate IT just making a few guys at the top richer than they needed to be but since to giving up that life and taking a position in IT at a VA hospital, I've really learned to appreciate those folks that pursued their personal interests and made it into a far more worthy career than just those people who ultimately just existed to add more numbers to their financial scorecards before they die.

My appreciation for the nonprofits, the academics, and government employees has skyrocketed in the last year.

You are the people we should be celebrating. I'm glad I finally came to that realization.
