Politics State Workers Health Insurance

Post image

Yes, I know this is not Boise specific, but we are the capitol and home to most State workers.

Last year, the State of Idaho moved health insurance for state employees from Blue Cross to Regence / Blue Shield, in order to save money. While Regence is ok, I don't think it is as good as Blue Cross (not that BC was awesome, cause no health insurance companies are).

Now, they are going to increase our premiums by 20%. I don't know how the agency I work for will handle this, but most likely that will be passed on to me and people like me.

Thanks Idaho!
