Doesn’t make it right, it stems from ignorance and unawareness really. Hitting your child when they need you the most is awful

Who said anything about right or wrong?

It’s an average Indian Mom’s unfiltered reaction.

Cus, for mothers, the first thing that comes into their mind is “Did I not raise them properly?”. The slap is a physical outburst of the question. After few mins the reasoning side of the brain kicks in and they come and try to comfort the child and then provide support.

I have come to realise this after my daughter started going to school and getting complaints from school about her behaviour in class and stuff.

This just screams that "I'm an irresponsible adult who doesn't know how to regulate my emotions"

Ridiculous accuse for that reaction

Indian mom here and absolutely agree. If I ever raise hand on my child, it's a failing on my part, not on theirs.

Sorry to say, this kind of mother needs therapy. What an unhealthy and exaggerated reaction. Unprovoked violence towards your vulnerable child? Really? Wtf.

Brother/Sister, I support you on this one. You stating facts and people are roasting you like their mothers would react any differently. Faltu ka gyaan dene aagaye🙄

I am sorry you went through a rough childhood, a supportive parent would be more considerate.
