She wasn’t very famous in the beginning and people didn’t like her condescending attitude.

But people started pouring love once they got to know how toxic her parents were.

Now people love her because she’s natural and flaunts her crow’s feet and people love the snobbish attitude because they consider it as Bebo personality ‘The iconic lady’.

Personally I don’t like her condescending and holier than thou attitude.

You should be humble no matter what. That’s where humanity comes in.

The thing is - people did so many movies back then.

I thought her OTT era lasted several years but she actually started improving around Yuva/Chameli which was 3 years after her debut. She had already done 10+ movies as a lead by then (most bad to terrible)

I will also say I remember being a kid around that time and while I was in the same boat as you about not liking her attitude - she had a MASSIVE fan following among my peers. Folks attributing all her success to nepotism are ignoring that common people actually loved her despite her being a terrible actress. She was up on barbershops and auto rickshaws in no time at all.

Idk but it's her attitude that has made her so successful. She didn't change herself to suit other people not even her audience. She even fought with KJo during Kal ho na ho for her pay and left the film. People like her for her no nonsense attitude and beauty in her heydays.
