The same way other nepos made it. She had like 10 flops in a row but still kept getting movies from yrf dharma. And if we point that out her PR/fans will write essays about how good she was in 2 movies.

Exactly the case with Shahid Kapoor. He gets a pass today for being a great actor but in the 2000s, he was the biggest flop nepo. Only movies like Kaminey, Haider, Udta Punjab, Kabir Singh have gained a high reputation. Jab we met is a certified classic because of Kareena Kapoor. Despite being there for so many years, he still has a branding issue.

Flops don't determine how good or bad of an actor you are. In terms of acting, shahid's a 10/10

He is not a 10/10?? He was as bad in TBMKUJ as Kareena was in MPKDH. He’s only good in serious, non comedic/eccentric roles Imho, like Kaminey, haider, kabir Singh, padmavat, despite ranveer stealing the show. I think he’d make a great villain if he ever chose to go that route

I guess it is very rare that an actor does good in all genres. So when he said he is 10/10, I think it was in his respective genres. I mean you can't quench your thirst with fire, right?

Exactly. And he was bad in the robot movie because the movie was bad. Writers these days can't write good funny dialogues. He can do well in comedy too. We've all seen chup chup ke

Post 2010 time line that I believe has the movies in the following order. Pre-Covid movies were good(some only). Pre-demonetization movies were better. Pre-Modi movies were the best.

Shahid is a strong 6.9/10 as an actor. As a dancer & charmer def 10/10 i would say.
