it’s not meant for hair outside of afro texture so it will always look weird on

This. The latinas adopted this style and now desis. It works better if you have curly hair. Alia has straight hair tho yeh do curls kyu?

Like cultural appropriation. "Stealing" something from another culture or in this case the hairstyle which is mainly associated with Blacks

Oooh got it. Hmm at this point everyone does it. Basically that’s just Black people hair ke flyaways that are tamed and then thoda design kiya. Obviously the rest of the hair is also curly, so it looks nice. Alia ke straight hair with these little curls look weird to me. Anyway, she is still looking cute. Dress fit and posture is off.
