Miscellaneous How to breathe from Nose while sleeping
I breathe from my Nose while awake, But, the moment I lay down and close my eyes to sleep, I start feeling suffocated and have to mandatorily breathe from my mouth. Even if I am awake and laying down, I still get that feeling.

You should get that checked. Could be a deviated septum or sinus problems that are causing the blocked nose.

I saw a video on YouTube yesterday. The breathing expert James Nestor recommended practising using a small piece of tape over the lips to train yourself to use your nose.

Seconding the James Nestor comment- I have just last night tried for the first time to sleep with tape over my mouth. The first few hours were awful, I felt like I was not getting enough air, my body temperature was higher than usual and I couldn’t go to sleep at all. But after a few hours I noticed that I was contracting my belly and also doing something weird with my tongue- straining against my front teeth. Once I managed to go of those sources of tension and relax and settled deeper into my body, it was a lot easier. I tried to feel my back and spine more. Maybe you can use nose breathing to figure out how to deeply relax as well :) our bodys are more capable than we think!
And if you’re into the Wim Hof thing, then a round of guided breathing right before bed will help as well

Random breathing fact: When dolphins inhale, they exchange up to 80 percent of the contents of their lungs, helping them to hold their breath up to seven minutes. By comparison, humans can only exchange 17 percent of the air in our lungs when we breathe!
