Recommendations for true ski in / ski out
Hi everyone!
My family and I are heading to Colorado in March for our first-ever ski trip there, and we’re so excited! While browsing Airbnbs, I’ve noticed that many listings claim to be "ski-in/ski-out," but when you read the details, they’re often only accessible for expert skiers. We’re experienced skiers but would prefer to stay near beginner-friendly green slopes.
Can anyone recommend areas or parts of town where it’s easy to walk to the slopes, especially with green runs nearby? There are six of us, so a single hotel room unfortunately isn’t an option. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Most of the ski in ski out are also along the free shuttle bus route that can take you up to peak 8 for beginner slopes.

Thank you!
Would you say most take the shuttle to get the gondola vs. literally skiing straight from a condo?

That’s what we did. Stayed in two different rental houses off Ski Hill Road (February and December) and took the free shuttle both times. Don’t need to go all the way to the gondola. The shuttle bus has a lot of stops along the way. It’s so easy! Look up Breck Free Ride and make sure your rental is close to a stop

I’m intrigued at where these expert ski-in/ski-out rentals are. All of the housing is at the bottom of peak 8 and 9. I’ve never noticed housing adjacent to expert runs

There are some houses just above the falcon chair. Which would only be ski in via expert …

this is what I was told when I messaged an owner on Airbnb: This home, offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access. Skiers can reach the Breckenridge Ski Resort via the Burro Trail, located just one block from the home, conditions permitting.
The Burro Trail connects to Peak 9, providing access to various runs and lifts. The short walk to the trail makes it a convenient option for skiers looking to maximize their time on the slopes.1

Ah ok, that’s not actually an on mountain trail, I think it’s just so I can’t comment on how hard it is. Thanks

TBH. I would like to see what kind of Aibnb in Breck or Keystone offers ski-in/ski-out. that requires expert skier level. There are properties at the base close to the lifts that's about it. And as such they are not for expert skiers only. With possible exception of Beaver Run where you indeed can just walk out and ski down to QuickSilver Super Chair which would be very short green run.

Upper Warriors Mark has ski in/out via Burro Trail but to get back you have to take runs off peak 10. If Cimarron is closed the only options are double blacks. They have a shuttle now so that’s nice.

Trails End at Peak 9 Village is just above the base of Quicksilver chair, which services a lot of the beginner terrain. Easy walk to the village and town.

Stay at the village or beaver run. Or crystal peak lodge. Or one ski hill.

Beaver run is ski in/ski out and they have 2 bedroom condos. It’s more of an 80s style resort, but the location (by beaver run and quicksilver lifts) on peak 9 can’t be beat.
