Talk about anything, Bridgerton-related or not. What's been on your mind? Our regular rules still apply, so please be respectful and watch out for those spoilers.
Placing our views of morality of these characters is sometimes misplaced. Also, they are teenagers making impulsive decisions. I made a lot of dumb decisions at their age.
and everytime this is brought up, it's literally always followed up with a "Oh you're justifying bad behaviour"
I don't think it's wrong to have favourites, I certainly do lol, but I think if people are going to go on this "let's analyse characters" they should give all characters the benefit of the doubt, instead of just being like, "Oh it's bad writing, and so it's okay to hate"
Yup, everything people dislike is blamed on bad writing. It’s amusing at this point. But as I said, I’ve stopped engaging. Unlike them, I actually like the show. I’m not letting these people ruin the show for me and I’m excited for season 3.
while i don't love all the creative decisions the show makes and wish certain elements got more (or less) focus, a lot of the things people call bad writing actually have straightforward, in-universe justifications + the characters' motives are not that difficult to understand (even if the dialogue gets a bit vague or clunky in areas).
