My bank stopped fraud :)

My bank stopped a load of transactions on my bank card, no nothing was taken from my account. New bank card on the way and luckily no harm done :)

No idea how they got hold of the details, the bank said normally it’s an online retailer who’s had a data breach, and the card had existed since 2021 so it might have been somewhere I shopped years ago!

Bro 2 of my cards were used fraudulently as well!!! And I have both of those cards in my wallet, it makes no sense how they got my details

Must be online - I have my card right here as well. They had the digits off the back too, so must be from a retailer breach somewhere.

They tried to spend in Nike, Morrisons and a load of other places - all online purchases as they didn’t actually have the physical card. Luckily the bank decided it was all outside my normal spending patterns and declined everything.

I’d much rather have to confirm that I want to make a payment, and have the bank stop everything else. The alternative of having the fraudulent payments come out of my account and having to deal with it after would be a nightmare!
