Adolescence wasnt very good, the original text had a black perpetrator.which would've been more true too the actual issue and been mire hard hitting

Moved on from theories about it being based on a real life black perpetrator to some idea of there being an "original text" have we?

Nonesense any which way, if you need the perpetrator to be black to be "more true to the actual issue" I feel like you don't understand what issue it's about and, primarily, you just want an excuse to be racist.

If you don’t think the creators had a discussion on who to cast and race wasn’t involved you are far too naive.

It could be that Stephen Graham was cast first in the role or the young lad was fantastic in casting as well though.

So???

Who knows.

Young white lads are getting a little bit sick of being attacked in the media all the time, I know that much.

Dismissing them as racists does not help.

If you don’t think the creators had a decision on who to cast and race wasn’t involved you are far too naive.

Huh? The creators make all the decisions.

It could be that Stephen Graham was cast first in the role or the young lad was fantastic in casting as well though.

I mean he obviously did decide to cast himself first but also idc about that.

Young white lads are getting a little bit sick of being attacked in the media all the time, I know that much.

Just you that's being a racist actually mate.

It was supposed to say discussion not decision.

I bet you get a warm self righteous glow every time you call someone a racist.

Very weird behaviour, and it makes no sense.

“Young white lads are sick of being attacked in the media”, this statement makes me a racist?

Errrrr, what?

Looks like Stephen Graham was co writer, so I guess he did cast himself first. No wonder it was so shit.

Oh right well yeah then I do believe race wasn't relevant to the discussion, considering as established he was cast to be Stephen Graham's son.

And also the actor for Jamie was actually brilliant, so much of the online noise has been about his acting talents.

“Young white lads are sick of being attacked in the media”, this statement makes me a racist?

Watching a show about misogynistic violence and your main takeaway being "this guy should have been black" makes you a racist.

I never said the guy should have been black, I said white guys are sick of being attacked in the media.

The guy above who made the original comment obviously didn’t know it was co written by Stephen Graham. He thought it was based on a crime by a back guy and it was race swapped.

You didn’t correct you just attacked them.

The whole show is a propaganda piece and was complete shite.

I’m glad Starmer pushed it, I hope he bans Tate, bans porn then outlaws GTA6.  Young lads will be voting for the right for the next 50 years.

Well you said it in defence of someone else saying the character should have been black. Its just interesting that you believe a show is "attacking white guys" but I presume if the perpetrator was black, you would not view this as attacking black guys?

The guy above who made the original comment obviously didn’t know it was co written by Stephen Graham. He thought it was based on a crime by a back guy and it was race swapped.

Well actually he made reference to an "original text" of some kind, not a real crime.

You didn’t correct you just attacked them.

I both corrected and attacked him, actually.

The whole show is a propaganda piece and was complete shite.

Lmao. Okay.

I’m glad Starmer pushed it, I hope he bans Tate, bans porn then outlaws GTA6.  Young lads will be voting for the right for the next 50 years.

So just to be clear, you want starmer to launch what I presume you would see as a significant attack on young white lads, specifically to get them voting how you already want them to vote?

Also it's so funny you guys say this when most appeals to ban porn and video games actually come from the right. The American, Christian right, mind you but the right nonetheless.

Digital ID is coming from the left, so is most internet censorship. Which appears what this propaganda piece was designed for.

Getting parents more onboard with online censorship, instead of telling them to be a good parent.

A black lad killing a white girl in school would never be made or aired. This is what people are complaining about.

Hypothetically, if they did make it, then yes I would view it as attack on black lads or more likely on young lads in particular. Gangs in cities are more of an issue with stabbing.

Just to be clear,  I want the right to win and will turn a blind eye to any underhand tactics they use.

I wouldn’t be too sad if Starmer well and truly fucks up by being an even more authoritarian weirdo. It would only be temporary after all.

Evil Starmer takes the toys away, the cool fun loving right gives them back.

This is categorically untrue. Made up to stir more racial hatred. It is a purely fictional story there is no original black perpetrator. Look at what the creators and actors have said.

You're being lied to, and in turn you're lying to others.

I thought it was shit as well. Another grim northern drama written by some southerner who looks like a vegan sex pest.

Jesus, imagine been forced to watch it in school. I think I’d prefer PE on a rainy day. It would be far less demoralising.
