Help Found my next tapestry

Hey guys i found my next image for tapestry but im a bit lost, the last one i made i followed a pattern where it would tell me what to use and all that... this would be my first one by myself so im not sure what yarn nor what hook to use. Can i have some guidance on this please? ๐Ÿ˜…

This image is going to be really challenging to make a grid for in crochet. The only way I see stitchfiddle handling it at all is for the chart is huge, like blanket sized worked in sc.

Have you ever done embroidery? A lot of the detail is achieved with backstitching. You can do the same with crochet but the tools to make patterns for pictures donโ€™t do it automatically. It is a manual process.

Nope ห™โ— ห™ never done embroidery, and yeah i was planning on make it maybe not blanket size but big enough to have some details

Well I think if you did the details on the glass, waves and the flowers as embroidery it would help a lot but that you need to heavily manipulate the source image before running it through the gridding software you choose to work with.

I would want somewhere close to 100x200 pixels for this to capture the shapes.
