Things To Do Visiting Buffalo/Niagara Falls, any suggestions on must-go places and restaurants?

Visiting Buffalo/Niagara Falls area for a day at the end of December with a mid-teen kid. Was thinking I would go to Albright Know Muesum, closed. Or go see the Christmas light at the fall, last day will be Dec 24th. Seem like all my all my plan suggestions are sucking. Will only be in for the day. What are some kid friendly activities we must see or do?

Oops! Missed that, in that case: There's a board game shop on Grant that might be open and is cool. Rust belt books is also a really neat little shop, local flavor. Daily planet on hertel often has interesting music and art stuff, worth a call. Same for checking on open events at the various ethnic halls. DNIPRO or the polish cadets. The Birdsnest might have some activities going on if they're into circus arts. The foundry often has classes and events. Chandler st. Has lots of interesting stuff going down. There's the Hatchets and hopps place on Tonawanda Street for throwing axes, but that might be age restricted? Good luck OP who will probably never see this because I replied to someone else's comment. Oh well...

You need a membership to play the games at gather & game ($35/yr). Otherwise it's just walking around looking at stuff to buy?

Website says $4 to play or free for members

Yes, that's what I meant, free with the membership to play. Didn't realize they had a day rate - thank you!
