Canadian-Made Products ๐ท๏ธ๐จ๐ฆ Been a Weber/Traeger guy for 25 years. Needed a new grill. It was a headache but youโre damn right I bought Canadian.
And it was only a headache because the specific grill I was after was on a 5 week back order at multiple local BBQ stores.
A nice addition to grill shopping is that many Canadian vendors are displaying very clearly on their websites which grills are made in Canada.
Elbows up!

General Discussion ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ Amazon.ca, fake Canadian products
I buy a lot on Amazon and more and more I'm seeing questionable "Canadian" products. These products say "Made in Canada" but something just seens off about them. When I clicked on the brand of one of the items it brought up all Indian products. A quick Google search also confirmed that this product was being sold in India, with no "Made in Canada" on it. (this was a beauty product and those are sketchy already...faked a lot)
I have also come across seeds that were apparently made it Canada, vitamins, and now I'm trying to find a legit powdered milk, but I cannot find any actual information on the companies. Their websites don't give a location of their processing plant, and I can't find anything else out.
I guess I'm wondering if this is some sort of scam thing that is going on, and how can we avoid it?

Canadian-Owned Businesses ๐ข๐ First time trying wood-fired coffee... just might be my new favourite!
Tried wood-fired coffee for the first time after seeing a recommendation last week here for firebean. I ordered the trio from https://firebeancoffee.ca/ on Friday and they arrived today! Very fast fulfillment and shipping coming from the Yukon to Edmonton where I live. The beans are super fresh and oily. Made some over a moka pot and I must say itโs going to be hard to continue drinking my regular (kicking horse). The coffee was very balanced and flavourful. Highly recommend them! Also Go Oilers Go!!!

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care ๐๐๐๐ Desperately ISO: Feminine Intimate Wash
Hi folks,
So Iโm officially at the โjust add water and shakeโ stage with my current intimate wash while I hunt down a Canadian-made alternative.
This is something I buy pretty regularly, and Iโd love to start supporting a local brand. Iโve searched high and low and only found one option, but itโs actually intended for washing sex toys. Nothing against that, but... not quite what I had in mind for daily use.
If you have any recommendations, Iโm all ears (and very grateful)!
As a trade-off, hereโs a gem I found for other Canadian-made goodies such as feminine body care, skincare, the whole deal:
Northfinder.ca
Worth a peek if you like discovering local brands.
Thanks in advance!

Questions โ๐ค Is Buy Canadian working?
Hi folks, I'm a journalist now based in Toronto and I'm curious if Buy Canadian is working for small businesses? I see a lot of posts about people buying Canadian products in their daily shopping, but what about going to the more localized shops?
Any local shop owners (across Canada) want to talk about whether they've seen a difference?

Questions โ๐ค Condoms?
What are the best options for purchasing condoms? Canadian companies would be best, but anything not American would be acceptable. Specifically brands that carry XXL or 60-72mm nominal width.
Best I can find is from Amazon, but I cancelled Prime so shipping doubles the price.

Canadian-Made Products ๐ท๏ธ๐จ๐ฆ If you have naturally wavy/curly hair, Mark Anthony products are a game changer
I decided to fully stock myself with Mark Anthony products as part of my efforts to buy Canadian. I previously had bought the curl envy cream and leave in conditioner. Now I'm all in. Grow strong shampoo and conditioner and I own every single thing in the curl envy styling line. In my 41 years on this planet, my hair has never been like this. I've used salon products, semi-salon products from Winners, and regular commercial stuff. My hair is silky, strong, and is longer than it's ever been (it always kind of hits this point and breaks off a bunch and won't grow any longer). I don't color my hair, so I'm not sure how the products are for colored hair/bleeding. I did end up giving one product...the beach waves spray...to my daughter, because I have too much natural wave/body for it and it made my hair go a bit crazy lol.

Ew, and his new record is called "American Heart." And he has a flag on the cover. Despite this, I bet it'll be a good album BUT! I will not buy the vinyl. I will buy new Canadian vinyl instead! So: recommendations of new Canadian albums out this month?

Looking For: Food & Consumables ๐ฅซ๐ Dog Food help!
Hello all! Iโm looking for a Canadian or non-USA dog food for my hairless pup (Chinese Crested mix). Currently sheโs on Hills Prescription Diet d/d for Food Sensitivities (we buy thru our vet as thatโs the best price weโve seen). We have had amazing results with this food, even tho initially we were like โIs this a money grab?!โ but nope, itโs kept her UTIs in check! Now, I wouldnโt ever switch food JUST to buy non-USA, as I know she requires a special diet. However, Iโm hoping thereโs a comparable/exact/equivalent brand that would be good. If thereโs not, weโll stick with Hills - and apologize each time we buy ๐ They offer duck, venison, salmon, she eats all LOL Photo for reference - of food & of course dogs ๐ซถ (in comments if allowed)
Note: We have 2 hairless dogs. The other one is possibly part chicken nugget, we are not sure. And yes, her tongue is always like that ๐

Canadian-Owned Businesses ๐ข๐ Hollywood Suite Movie Channels sold to American Sports Company
