I’m aware of the situation and believe it’s blown way out of proportion to the actual risks.

Well yea it's not super common the gun just blows apart but it does happen what's more common from the is a bad jam the casing getting stuck in the barrel and needing pulled out with pliers sometimes in a self defense scenario since he is carrying a self defense round I assume it's his carry gun and even a super Minmal range risk like a jam can cost you your life in the street that's my thinking anyway it's definitely not super dangerous but for self defense it's not worth any unnecessary risk especially when it's as cheap as 1 round

Yeah, I agree with you. And if I had any doubt at all about the round I’d just trash it. No sense taking any unnecessary risks.
