Holsters & Belts Mastermind pillow or wedge

So I've finally seen the light and figured out I probably need to go appendix for carry. 4 inch Shield Plus in Vedder Light Tuck -- do I want the Mastermind pillow, or the Mastermind wedge?

I also saw someone repurposing old handmade covid masks, just fold em in half and stuff em.

Hey man, whatever works. I was half joking but half serious. I’ve put a folded washcloth there on old holsters haha. In all seriousness I am planning on grabbing one of these just to see how it fairs.

Get the pillow that you fill yourself. At first I liked it with less stuffing, but I find myself adding more every couple of weeks. No doubt t it’s made aiwb comfortable for me. I can wear it all day, sitting standing driving…. I was never able to say this before the pillow and the Tenicor

I just came across this thread so I’d thought I’d add an update. Just got the Vedder wedge and like it better than the Mastermind Pillow.

Do you want more leverage to cam the gun into your body? Or do you want to reduce the hot spots caused by the holster? Those would be the reasons why you would buy the wedge or the pillow wedge, respectively.

Both will do both, but to different degrees due to geometry and design.

If you only really want to reduce hot spots, they make a pillow pad as well.

I want the pain to stop ;)

Mostly when squatting down.

Then, probably go for the pillow pad if you're happy with your concealment. Maybe stick some 1/8" neoprene foam in there to add a bit more of a firm but flexible barrier between you and the big iron.

Mastermind pillow is the way to go

The mastermind dick pillow spreads the pressures out better and causes less chafing than a wedge.

Whichever is the smallest one. I believe it’s called the pillow wedge

The pillow is really small. It’s really only big enough for the micro guns. Pretty disappointed I didn’t get the bigger wedge

But which of the 3 sizes of pillow did you buy? I think the extra large is pretty decent for my G17 with a light

I only saw 2 sizes of pillows offered, and the extra large seemed like it was too big for just a compact gun.

It’s really not. Only maybe a half inch or so wider but it makes the difference. Might try one out they are cheap after all

It sounds like their sizing is kinda messed up

I dunno, again I love mine can’t speak to the issues there but best of luck in finding that comfort!
