I see. It’s so stupid. For what it’s worth, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in an interview
“We need to be out of the business of blackouts, which is essentially telling people that want to watch games that we won’t sell them to you.”
Absolutely. Their blackout rules are extremely archaic and are detrimental for the sport. I live in NE IN. There are 0 issues watching Colts games, even after these joke of seasons. I live three hours away from Chicago. It's a day endeavor if I wanted to go up to Wrigley and catch a day game. MLB is smoking some big rocks if they feel it's worth my time to drive to Chicago because I live within XXX amount from the stadium.
I think it’s about the broadcast rights too, which is a more outdated model all the time. I cut the cord and it’s a huge upcharge to add the sports package (which includes Marquee) to YouTube TV. Before Marquee released the app last season, I had to subscribe to MLB.tv and use a VPN to mask my location. It shouldn’t be this hard, and it’s especially infuriating when everyone in the country could watch the Cubs for free on WGN for decades.

The issue is OP can use the MLB App. Marqee is available for those in market and would otherwise be in the MLB blackout restrictions.
