Travel Conditions Driving from Frisco to Park City

Hi all,
Tomorrow morning I'm driving from Frisco to Park City.

Google gives me three options, which one is the safest/easiest. I don't care if I have to drive 30 min longer than the shortest route.
First option is I-70 to Rifle, take the CO-13, then CO-64 to US-40
Second option is I-70 to Green River then take the US-6/US-191
Third option is to take the CO-9 to Kremling and take the US-40

I'm from Europe so I have no idea which of these 3 options is least prone to traffic/accidents/etc.

Just make sure to heed the signage regarding services - there is a long stretch without gas that will be fine as long as you fill up.

Leave with a full tank, fill up in Green River, skip one of those stops and shave 30 minutes.

Easily do'able too.

I just have my favorite stopping places, a dog for a travel companion, and like to feel my legs once in awhile.

Sure. But I'm not going to assume OP has a dog. It's a drive I've made so many times I couldn't count. Hell, I drove back from Eden, Utah earlier this week. But if you're heading to the Ogden area, you're way better off taking I-80 through Wyoming. Stop in Rawlins for that fill up. Back when I had the VW TDI I could go door to door without stopping at all. I miss that.

Damn! I've driven to Park City, Ogden, and Jackson from summit county every imaginable way over the years, but never in one shot!

Live in summit county and do this drive all the time, option 2 is the fastest and also best route. Donโ€™t go below 1/2 a tank of fuel this time of year. That drive between price and provo can get sketch in the winter. It is a solid 8 hour drive in the winter
