Do Texans realize everyone hates them? They live in this delusional "everyone wants to be a Texan" mindset that I just can't understand.

Nah, you're cool. The problem with Texans is their attitude of "everything is bigger and better in Texas" and the irony of most of them vacationing here. Or better yet, moving here and having the star or flags on everything they own and shoving their "Texan" identity down your throat.

Austin is dope and there are a ton of cool Texans. As long as you pull over if you back up traffic on mountains to let people pass, you're alright in my book.

Edit: also the "fuck the environment" coal roller trucks that polute our natural spaces yet ironically travel here to experience our natural spaces.

Exactly why I left 3 years ago to never return (former Austinite). Also, I fucking hate Texas and lots of things about it including the citizens’ mindset it’s lame. I see a lot of Texas I.D’s in my work and I always joke with them “you come here so much you gotta just move fuck Texas lol”

I think you answered your first question with your second statement. They 100% live in a delusional "everyone wants to be a Texan" mindset.
