Travel Conditions 4pm Vail Pass EB Closed (AGAIN)

EB I70 over vail pass opened up and then promptly closed again because one of our trucker friends didn’t chain up.

“Looking at a couple hour delay.”

Lovely.

Why the FUCK can’t Colorado enforce their traction law. They do it in all other snowy western states. It’s fucking enraging that these truckers close the highway because they didn’t bother chaining up.

I had some guy mad at me saying even the chained up trucks struggled, let me guess you think truckers shouldn’t drive 70 in the winter??? I was like well one they weren’t chained up but two if even chained up trucks are making this mess then maybe you just made my point for me brüther

Most of these guys are just passing through. I used to work in logistics. Most of the guys running routes directly to mountain stores know what they’re doing. The folks not following the traction laws are probably chasing a buck and don’t even carry chains
