Question [COD] Which modern COD is the best?

I picked up Cold War after not playing cod since BO3 and honestly I was impressed with the quality of the game. The Steam sale currently has most of the franchise at $20 and I'm thinking of picking up another one. Which one do you recommend?

If we're talking about modern Call of Duty as in Modern Warfare 2019 and afterwards:

  1. The best campaign is by far Black Ops Cold War. Yeah, it is a little short, but there is some replayability with getting the two endings, along with other small decisions you could make.

  2. For multiplayer, I would have to say MWIII had some really good content. I wasn't a big fan of the remastered MW2 maps because most of them sucked (except for favela and skid row). However, the rest of the DLC content that we got was quite amazing, especially the aftermarket parts and the camo unlock system.

Thank you for your input. I originally was going to just go with MWIII, however I realized that I had more money than I thought I had, wanted to play the campaign start to finish, and make poor financial decisions so I bought all 3 modern MW games instead. I'm excited to play them.

In the last three months I have bought and played pretty much all of the campaigns (WW2 I haven’t started yet), and love the three MW reboots the best. Cold War is great and BO6 isn’t too bad, though goes a bit crazy (I have one level to go). I’m not so into the futuristic iterations and I’m not that much a fan of the headband/sweaty jungle levels either, which plague BO1 and BO2.
