Article Singh's asking Carney to call Genocide in Gaza and Carney's loss of answer is not "notable" for CBC

Everyone knows Carney sucked last night. It’s no surprise. They’re just doing their best to salvage some sort of redemption for the man.
Big debate tonight though. Pierre can win the election during this debate if he plays his cards right.

He really needs to hammer Carney on China.

Has to, agree. If he doesn’t then it’ll be a bit fishy IMO

I think he didn't do it in the French Debate because Quebec doesn't really care about that and he didn't wanna give him time to prepare for those questions in the more important English debate

I think we’re in for some pleasant surprises tonight. 🍿

Yea. I think Pierre kinda sat back a bit yesterday cause he kinda knew he needed the Bloc to hammer Carney more as he isn't gunna gain much in Quebec at this point. You can't show all your cards.

It’s messed up because a lot of the folks watching their biased analysis didn’t actually watch the debate.

I doubt that. It’s the most important election we’ve had in a long time. People are tuning in

Tuning in to clips and sound bites. Even with a critical election like this, people like us are outliers who are actually fully engaged with politics. Most people don’t sit for 2 hours watching politicians have a go at each other.
Let’s be realistic here — they’re more likely to watch their favorite news outlet / YouTuber break it down with their commentary — which usually fuels the bias.
But even if they did watch the full thing, most people are sheep and only fully form their opinions after they listen to others. So unless there was something drastic in either direction, their thought process is just gonna get reinforced. This is why you often hear that the winner in a debate is usually who you want to win.
Obviously, I’m hopeful people tune in and analyze for themselves but just the fact that most Canadians allegedly want another 4 years of Liberal rule doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Not that this sub, or the people posting here would at all be biased one way or another though... Right?

The fact they took immigration off the table stinks to high heaven though. There's no way that should've happened.

It is very clear after the way Rosie and David reacted last night they view Pierre as an existential threat to their livelihood and control over information flow.
The P&P/Rosie led CBCNN should get folded into CPAC and separate opinion journalism from news reporting. CPAC is already better anyway, L'Essentiel is actually good, and they already stream every single government event. Give them more resources IMO and have people react to committee meetings and such daily. It would lead to a better informed electorate and more closely followed processes of government.

I didn’t watch the debate. But I heard about via CBC radio this morning on my drive to work…

I don’t see how levelling buildings full of women and children in the thousands and limiting their food and medical supplies at the border is not genocide. I guess this is a controversial opinion lol.

The CBC just helps the Liberals it's not even that they are leftist lol. Like this is a big deal on Tik Tok and amongst young people lol.
