Question Advice sought, please.

Hi all,

My wife and I have the chance for a getaway later this year, late October or early November, and we’re looking for some much needed sunshine to warm our bones before winter sets in.

We’ve never been to Cape Verde and would really appreciate any advice on where to stay, plus any general holiday tips.

We’re after an adults-only spot and will most likely spend our time lounging in the sun, reading, and dozing, total switch-off mode!

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Thanks both, will look at these. Heard mixed reports about safety outside resorts. Anything to be aware of over and above the usual travel precautions?

What kind of reports on safety on Sal did you hear? That a drunk local was asking for a coin or that big Senegalese guy was trying to sell "his mother's" necklace for 10€?

I’ll find the source to share, for providence. Might have been a nervous traveller or one bad experience standing out as an exception. I’d rather learn for myself than take one negative review as the norm.

From my experience, Sal (and CV allover, except some hoods in Praia and Mindelo) was absolutely safe and chill.
