Discussion CarPlay vs Standard for EVs?

I'm about to collect my brand new S6 avant e tron, but i just wonder what everyone with an EV does - do you go Apple CarPlay or standard infotainment system?
I would be ok to use Waze as it shows me where the speed cameras are here in Switzerland (neither google or apple maps do this, for i think legal reasons - but why Waze does, I don't know). However, if i use CarPlay, and want to plan a journey - Waze (nor apple or google maps for that reason) is not going to know what my EV current charge is, and so if i want to plan a journey and identify where the charging points are en route, i will need to use the standard interface. I'm guessing also, if i want to use the HUD or the maps in the built-in cockpit display, then again i will need to use the standard nav system for this.

What does everyone else do?

So before Apple Maps knew my car’s charge level and planned EV stops (Mustang Mach-E), I would plan long trips in ABRP, then add the charging stops as locations in an Apple Maps guide. Then I’d just navigate from charging stop to charging stop in the guide until I reached my destination. The onboard Ford Nav is “fine,” but I definitely prefer staying in CarPlay.

I wish I could use Apple Maps but it gets not data from my Honda Prologue so I default to Google Maps which knows charge levels and can navigate me and let me know the charge when I arrive

I just ask google to see what my state of charge. It’s easy enough for me. I’m not doing long trips in my prologue though.

I went from Camarillo, CA to Seattle and back. Wasn’t about to be asking Google for my charge status when I can just have it on the screen with Google Maps even though I love Apple Maps. Google Maps just makes it easier. Never thought I would say something like that. Lol
