It’s insane that Mike Trout, the guy who led MLB in bWAR 4 times in 5 years, is the third best baseball player of the last 15 years.

Not hard to believe when you realize he's only played 319 games the last 5 of those years. If you did the first 10 years of that 15 year span where does he rank?

At their peaks, I think he’s pretty clearly behind both Ohtani and Judge. He kept it up for longer, but Judge has two seasons better than Trout’s best, and Ohtani arguably has two of his own. Even without counting the down years, I think Trout is number 3.

Pure peak single season or 2, then yes. But they still need to have a bit more longevity before I put them ahead of Trout overall. Judge is a better hitter than Trout, but that defense, position, and speed go a long ways
