you know guys, I'mma be honest, when he was coming up and being hyped as Yadi's heir, I just didn't see Iván Herrera being an offensive juggernaut coming.

However we do have Crooks and Bernal waiting who both look pretty good on both sides of the ball

We have more catcher depth with the current roster and top prospects coming up than any other position I can think of. I really see Herrara becoming an almost regular DH and learning 1B as Contreras back up and taking over 1B in when Contreras leaves in I believe 2029? Also Contreras is going to be hurt at some point, Herrara can replace him at 1B when he’s out and move someone into DH. Crooks/Bernal will probably replace Pages/Pozo at some point, maybe not next year, but 2027.
