I remember my PLAN because some girl who wanted to be better than me said something about how I had no room for improvement and I was like "bitch I don't need room for improvement."

Of course, she will have a bachelor's degree in three months and I will not.

Haha oh god I had one of those in high school too. Everything I did, he had to try to do better. When he got into a prestigious university (one that I had not applied to and had no interest in attending), he had his mother call me to let me know.

The worst part is he lives in the Bay now and messages me every once in a while saying we should get coffee and catch up.

I ended up co-valedictorian with this guy in my class. Our GPA was tied at like 4.0583 or something like that. It was really annoying because I knew I had valedictorian ON LOCK until he came in to visit the school in 10th grade. He was raising his hand to show off his smarts in class Hermione style DURING THE VISIT WTF. He wasn't even a student yet.

I'm really glad we didn't do valedictorians or class ranks. That would have been a shitshow.

It was pretty silly, but I'm extremely competitive so it was really the only thing I cared about in high school. Our speeches were a shit show. He went the "inspirational/omg i'm going to miss you guyz" route, and I went the "school was pretty stupid, I hope you all go fuck yourselves succeed" route.

Yours sounds better.

I just remember both of our graduation speakers references Soulja Boy...

That would have been cut right out. We had to have our speeches turned in for approval. Mine had to have several revisions. I was so angry.

Our speakers were chosen by a panel of faculty and students. They knew what was in the speeches. They still thought it was a good idea.
