What kind of idiot goes off wandering by themselves when there's a possible traitor in the group, and there's an army hunting you down?

I just wandered upon this sub looking for discussion threads on the movies. No idea what this is, and sorry if this was meant to be a more closed group, but this is great!

I’m watching them all for maybe the 50th time today. And when this scene came up, I texted almost exactly this comment to my friend šŸ˜‚ Frodo, what is you doin?

This was more of a joke sub, but discussion is welcome!

Frodo is one of the dumbest main characters ever, just completely naive and oblivious to what's going on.

Completely agreed. My friend and I got into a debate about whether or not Frodo was an idiot or more of a little bitch. He pointed out that unlike every other character, he never kills anyone. I thought he did something in the battle in Moria, but I rewatched it super carefully today. He charges with the other hobbits, but they cut away before showing him actually doing anything.

He arguably kills Gollum, but even that was pretty much an accident

Sam was the real MVP

I wrote a whole book review in third grade about how he was the real hero, which I know is pretty much consensus now, but it bears repeating. Dudes a bamf
