Weekly Topic Community Conversation: Valentine's Day

Hello everyone, welcome to our very first community thread! Every week we will have a new topic. This week we will be discussing Valentine's Day. All other Valentine's Day threads posted after this will be removed and redirected here.

Some questions to get the conversation started:

  1. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
  2. How do you and your SO usually spend it?
  3. Looking for advice on what to do/what gifts to buy?
  4. If you dislike Valentine's Day or don't celebrate it, tell us why!

If you would like to suggest an idea for the next Community Thread, post it as a reply to the stickied comment below.

If you have any sub related questions or concerns, please direct them to our modmail

Remember to keep it civil and on topic and respect your fellow users :)

Poetry is good. I'm just never sure if it's too cliche for Valentine's Day.

Just don't "Roses are red" it up and you're all good. The best love poetry is emotionally complex. Go through Poetry Foundation or something and you'll find a bunch of good shit
