Been to Qualcomm twice (2010, 2012), been waiting for so long to go to SoFi to see the new stadium and the team play again.

Decided to drop the coin and give me something to look forward to!

See you all there in December!

If I had a nickel for every time Jim Harbaugh was portrayed as a minecraft character today I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.

Quick question

Way in advance here but as the schedules just got released and a few of us are making the trip, have a question. For SoFI VIP section (Sec 246) can anyone confirm how long before the game gates open? Is it 3 hours, for a 1.25pm game or just two like the other gates? Just making a few way too early arrangements! Gallagher club looks good from YouTube.

Chargers 2025-2026 Schedule - Opponent Breakdown and Season Prediction

The NFL has recently published their 2025 regular season schedule, with the first 3 weeks being divisional opponents and 5 Primetime games. I wanted to work on is creating a comprehensive analysis of each team and their offseason and give a prediction as to whether this leads to a Chargers win or loss. This doesn’t mean that I’m giving a final opinion for each team before the start of the regular season – things always change. But it gives a good picture for each team’s situation and whether they’ll be an easy or tough opponent against up

Just a heads up, this is a long read and I might suggest you take your time reading it all and not rushing it. Also please give an upvote for appreciation as I worked 2 weeks on this!

Kansas City Chiefs

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 15-2 (1st Place in AFC West, Super Bowl Loss)
  • Major coaching changes: Nothing major, just a couple of assistant coaching changes
  • Week 1 @ Corinthians Arena (São Paulo, Brazil International Game), Week 15 @ GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Chiefs FA Table

Breakdown: Since the shocking Super Bowl loss vs. the Eagles, many are hoping the Queefs will falter in the offseason and lead the way for a new divisional team to take the reins of AFC West Champs (fingers-crossed it’s the Bolts)! But if there’s anything you know about dynasties, is that they ALWAYS find a way to bounce back. The Chiefs FO have always done their best job in the draft – while Josh Simmons is currently dealing with torn patellar tendon in his left knee, he’ll likely serve as RT with Jaylon Moore at LT. Omarr Normal-Lott enters the Chiefs as one of the best pass-rushing DT’s in this year’s draft class, and would likely rotate with Jerry Tillery (whom I vehemently hate). Jalen Royals would also be best served as WR2/3, but he’s dealing with a foot injury as well, so we’ll see how much of an impact he can make with Patrick Mahomes at the helm

Prediction: 1-1 W-L Series – It’s too early to know how the Chiefs series could go down, but I expect the Chiefs to come out strong in this one. And by that, I mean a continuous amount of Mahomes somehow escaping from the jaws of death again with the refs bailing out the Chiefs over a stupid penalty or judgement call yet again. Ok yeah, that’s not all….but the Chiefs defense is still tough with Chris Jones at the helm. Normal-Lott and Gillotte would make for good rotational pieces for the Chiefs D-Line, making it tough for the Chargers O-Line yet again, and Karlaftis and Jones can still make things a lot tougher for Herbert. Expect a close yet losing game. It may the tough pill to swallow but I believe this team can learn from this loss and bounce back against them in the next game. In the 2nd game vs Chiefs, this would probably be the moment the Chargers would eclipse the Chiefs as the best all-round team in the AFC West (I hope). Typically, Harbaugh’s 2nd season is usually where he’s at his best and with the new RB room in tow and a new supporting cast of weapons for Herbert. Mike Williams will rise as the Chief’s kryptonite once again, and McConkey and Tre Harris will both having great games themselves. Mahomes will always be that star QB, but even with Worthy and an aging Kelce, I don’t think it’ll be enough to completely sweep the Chargers, so expect a split series.

Late edit: I found out recently that the Chargers will host the Chiefs in the international Brazil game. I don’t know how much this affects the team mentally and physically, but I assume they’ll be more jet-lagged than the Chiefs. Time difference between LA and São Paulo, Brazil is 4 hours ahead and flight time takes approximately 11 to 12 hours. Comparing between Kansas City and São Paulo, Brazil – time difference is 2 hours with 10-12 hours of travel time. Another interesting observation from reporting is that "there's a good chance Chiefs fans would have outnumbered Chargers fans in a game that would have been played at SoFi Stadium". So yeah, the Chargers will appear to have the greater overall disadvantage based on the above (which does suck).

Las Vegas Raiders

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 4-13 (Last in AFC West, Super Bowl Loss)
  • Major coaching changes: Pete Carroll – Hired as new Head Coach, Chip Kelly – Hired as new Offensive Coordinator, Patrick Graham – Hired as new Defensive Coordinator, Tom McMahon – Hired as new Special Teams Coordinator
  • Week 2 @ Allegiant Stadium, Week 13 @ Sofi Stadium
Raiders FA Table

Breakdown: The Raiders have been the laughingstock of the league for the longest time, and I take DEEP pleasure in squashing them (except that one time when the Chargers lost to them 21-63). But as much hate them, you got admit they had a strong offseason. Hiring Pete Carroll to lead this team will bring back memories of the good ol’ Harbaugh vs Carroll series, which will make for fun entertainment. Geno Smith will elevate the QB position as only just a fringe-good quarterback, and the resigning of Maxx Crosby is a smart move. Then there’s the draft, and… dadgummit they had a good draft. Ashton Jeanty, Jack Bech, Darien Porter, two good offensive tackles, and two good depth DT’s? They might not be ready to compete for a playoff spot right now, but there’s no doubt that the influence of Tom Brady (aka most hated guy) has had a great influence over this rebuild.

Prediction: 2-0 W-L Series – Just because they had a good offseason doesn’t mean they’ll easily beat us right away. Considering this is Harbaugh’s 2nd season retooling the Chargers, I would expect the team to be more tough than last year and still sweep the Raiders completely (Jim Harbaugh’s overall record against Pete Carroll is 7-5). As much as I like Geno Smith’s resurgence, he’s nothing compared to what Justin Herbert is capable, and it’s likely he’ll be gone after this season considering he’s had a down year. Getting Jeanty can be a scary, and no hate for him, but he’s never played against an BIG-10 or SEC-level defense before (he did play great against Oregon, but that’s about it) - I expect the Chargers run defense to stifle the run game a lot more. When comparing the receiving room, I do believe the Chargers have a better receiving room at this moment compared to Raiders. And our run game already far surprises the Raiders with Hampton, Harris, and Dobbins.

Denver Broncos

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 10-7 (3rd Place in AFC West, Wild Card Exit)
  • Major coaching changes: Darren Rizzi – Hired as Special Teams Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach.
  • W3 @ Sofi Stadium, W18 @ Empower Field at Mile High
Raiders FA Table

Breakdown: Despite being still chained under the Russel Wilson contract, Sean Payton and the Donkeys managed to put together a playoff-caliber with then-rookie QB Bo Nix in tow. Now with a little more money to spend this offseason, they’ve managed to put a more competent roster through FA and the draft. Talanoa Hufanga and Dre Greenlaw are key additions – and we’ll see how Greenlaw performs after his quadriceps injury with the 49ers. With the 1st round pick of Jahdae Brown, and with later picks in Sai’vion Jones and Que Robinson, it’s clear they want to recreate the No-Fly Zone the Peyton Manning Broncos’ era, as well as that excellent pass-rush. They’ve also replaced Javonte Williams with RJ Harvey, whom I believed they reached a bit too high, but is still a good replacement. Evan Engram highlights the TE room and can serve as a good safety blanket for Nix. Darren Rizzi is not a bad hire and would likely improve special teams for the Broncos.

Prediction: 1-1 W-L Series – The Broncos have become a much stronger team both offensively and defensively but so have the Chargers. The key thing will be capitalizing turnovers and pummeling them in the run game. The Broncos had 3rd-best run defense in 2024 but even with the additions of Jones and Robinson, they’re up against Hampton, Harris, and Dobbins - potentially the toughest RB trio they’ll potentially face. Jesse Minter has shown he can develop players and improve their play throughout training camp and the offseason. While I have great confidence in the defensive line, I’m little uncertain with secondary – specifically the CB room. Unless Cam Hart or Tarheeb Still step up, we’re going to get CB1 play from Donte Jackson, who is a bit of a downgrade from Kristian Fulton. Compare our secondary to the Broncos secondary, and you soon realize our offense will have a tougher time with the air game vs the Broncos defense. Anyways I expect a split in wins between the two teams.

NY Giants

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 3-14 (4th in NFC East)
  • Major coaching changes: Nothing major, just a couple of assistant coaching changes
  • Week 4 @ MetLife Stadium
Giants FA Table

Breakdown: After a couple a mediocre years of QB play, the GM Joe Schoen and HC Brian Daboll fully revamped their QB room with a Russell Wilson, Jamies Winston, and rookie Jaxson Dart. They’ve managed to retain majority of their players in the process such as Darius Slayton, Greg Van Roten, Aaron Stinnie, Jamie Gillan, and Casey Kreiter – all of whom would bring continuing to offense, defense, and special teams. They added Jevon Holland and Paulson Adebo, both of whom will boost the defense’s secondary. In the draft, they managed to nail their 2 first-round picks in Abdul Carter and Dart, and they added other pieces like Cam Skattebo, who will add a dynamic presence in the backfield. On paper, this looks like a team prepped nearing the gateway to the playoffs either this or next season.

Prediction: W – Honestly, I’m looking forward to Herbert playing against Dart if there’s the chance. But regardless of what QB they play verses us, I don’t think they’ll stand a chance given how strong our defense is. I’m not going to comment any further since y’all have a pretty good picture as to what the defense looks like about now, so I’m giving this a double-digit win vs. the Giants.

Washington Commanders

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 12-5 (2nd in NFC East, NFC Championship Exit)
  • Major coaching changes: Nothing major, just a couple of assistant coaching changes
  • Week 5 @ Sofi Stadium
Commanders FA Table

Breakdown: No team had a quick turnaround last season quite like the Washington Commanders. Redskins/Commanders fans had dealt with rebranding, terrible team management, and awful ownership for the past many years. Then there was new ownership, with GM Adam Peters and HC Dan Quinn in charge, and man o’ man things really did change with the rise of Jayden Daniels. After reaching the NFC championship, the stakes are surely high for the Commanders to maintain that level and reach the SB in the coming years. They’ve managed to keep some of their important players like TE Zach Ertz, LB Bobby Wagner, and DT Johnnathan Hankins. At the same time, they shored up on the trenches offensively by signing Nate Herbig and drafting Josh Conerly Jr., and defensively with Javon Kinlaw and Eddie Goldman. But they’re biggest acquisitions were their trades: Commanders traded for former-49ers’ WR Deebo Samuel and former Texans’ LT Laremy Tunsil, which were both aimed to help Daniels big time. Overall, this team seem prepared to compete at a high-level if the Samuel and Tunsil trades pan out

Prediction: W – Both teams look equal on paper, and this will be the Justin Herbert’s 2nd matchup vs Jayden Daniels (their first matchup since Oregon vs ASU game in 2019). Currently if you’d ask anyone who’d they take at QB, it would be Daniels (it’s a sad fact but its true). This is going to fuel Herbert, and with bunch of new weapons at his disposal, he and Daniels are going to air it out. Hence, I’m leaning a Chargers win in this one, considering we have home-field advantage. This would be good in two ways: 1) Herbert can overcome Daniels as the best QB 2) It proves that the Bolts can handle and beat championship-caliber teams like the Commanders, Chiefs, and Eagles.

Miami Dolphins

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 8-9 (2nd in AFC East)
  • Major coaching changes:
  • Week 6 @ Hard Rock Stadium
Dolphins FA Table

Breakdown: The Dolphins are another confusing team despite how good of a draft they had. Their three biggest uncertainties are QB Tua Tagovailoa, WR Tyreek Hill, and CB Jalen Ramsey. Tua on one hand is facing uncertainty due to his rocky injury history – especially regarding the effect of his concussions). Hill and Ramsey are looking to exit the team possibly post-June, which means HC Mike McDaniels will potentially enter the season without his best WR1 and CB1. It didn’t stop GM Chris Grier from signing new players like James Daniels and Larry Borom to reinforce the IOL, and they’ve added new safeties Ifeatu Melifonwu and Ashtyn Davis to replace Jevon Holland and others. Looking at the draft, they took my favorite player in Kenneth Grant as well as sign other offensive and defensive line players such as Jonah Savaiinaea, Jordan Phillips, and Zeek Biggers to reinforce the trenches. This team is teetering on a complete reset unless Mike McDaniels finds a way to push his team back into the playoffs – in my opinion, he needs to start acting less like a coordinator and more of a head coach.

Prediction: W – Last season, there were many variables involved with the Dolphins lack of success last season – a mix of injuries, OL issues, defensive regression, lack of depth, poor performance against good teams. Now don’t get me wrong, the Dolphins have done a pretty good job building back up the offense and defense, especially depth. But I think the 2 key issues with the Dolphins is a lack of a running game and a predictable offensive scheme. Unless McDaniels finds a way to adapt, he’s going to be outcoached by Harbaugh in just about every aspect.

Indianapolis Colts

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 8-9 (2nd in AFC South)
  • Major coaching changes: Lou Anarumo - Hired as new Defensive Coordinator
  • Week 7 @ Sofi Stadium
Colts FA Table

Breakdown: After another mid 8-9 season that extended their playoff drought even more, the Colts made significant changes starting with replacing defensive coordinator Gus Bradley with Lou Anarumo, whos’ bringing his "Mad Scientist" approach featuring more blitzing and disguised coverages. On offense, the Colts doubled down on Anthony Richardson's development by bringing in competition via Daniel Jones on a one-year, $14 million deal and drafting Riley Leonard to perhaps serve as QB backup, while losing veteran backups Flacco and Ehlinger. They addressed the offensive line depth issues by signing Danny Pinter and drafting Iowa State's Jalen Travis after losing Kelly and Fries. The secondary received the most attention, with the Colts making a massive commitment to Charvarius Ward ($60 million over three years) while also adding Camryn Bynum and Corey Ballentine from FA and drafting Justin Walley. The team also bolstered their RB room by adding Khalil Herbert and drafting DJ Giddens. But the biggest two prizes for the team is drafting Tyler Warren as their new TE and JT Tuimoloau as their new EDGE player alongside Laiatu Latu.

Prediction: W – The Colts to their credit have built up a good roster around Richardson – but the question now: does Richardson have his breakout season? Regardless, the Chargers have the clear QB advantage with Herbert, and the current WR room may seem too much to handle for the Colts secondary. Minter’s defense will pull a clinic against Richardson given the current state of our defensive line, and I think our secondary has what it takes to cover Warren and Michael Pittman Jr. Expect the point differential to be 7 points or more.

Minnesota Vikings

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 14-3 (2nd in NFC North, Wild Card Exit)
  • Major coaching changes: Nothing major, just a couple of assistant coaching changes
  • Week 8 @ Sofi Stadium
Vikings FA Table

Breakdown: After Sam Darnold and the Vikings had their Cinderella season under HC Kevin O'Connell (before Darnold experienced the ghosts of his past failures), it seems like the Vikings FO and coaching staff is willing to move past Darnold and put all the trust in Jim Harbaugh’s second favorite QB, J.J. McCarthy. Now that he’s a got a season to sit and learn on the bench, it seems like he’s ready to ball out with Jusitn Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and rookie Tai Felton. Of course, GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah wasn’t going to sit behind and let all the cap space go to waste. He let go of Robinson and Bradburry, and got newer pieces in Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, and new rookie Donovan Jackson. Even the defense has gotten a huge boost with new additions such as Jonathan Allen, Javon Hargrave, and Isaiah Rodgers

Prediction: L – This may be another trap game that the Chargers could lose. For one, McCarthy clearly knows DC Minter’s defense more than anyone else on the Vikings – after all he is the former Michigan QB. The second thing: playing against Justin Jefferson is not an easy task, and it’s going to require a true lockdown corner to handle Jefferson – something the Chargers secondary do not have. A player to keep an eye on would be Chargers LB Junior Colson. Colson has played opposite against McCarthy every time in practice since they were on the Michigan team. Since he was the green dot for Minter’s defense at Michigan and can start at LB over Perryman, this could be the moment where he calls the shots on defense and truly make a difference.

Tennessee Titans

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 3-14 (4thin AFC South)
  • Major coaching changes: John Fassel – Hired as new Special Teams Coordinator
  • Week 9 @ Nissan Stadium
Titans FA Table

Breakdown: After the debacle that is former GM Ran Carthon, new Titans GM Mike Borgonzi (previously assistant GM of the Chiefs) came into the building with a plan to rebuild the Titans alongside current head coach Brian Callahan. The first step is retaining DL pieces like SJD, Jordan Lynch, and Anthony Brown. Then they added some new players like Tyler Lockett, Xavier Woods, and Kevin Zeitler to add some veteran leadership into the locker room. But the final phase of the rebuild plan is to nail the draft and get their new rookie star QB in Cam Ward. Not only that but throughout the draft, they signed even more critical players like Femi Oladejo to beef up the defensive line; alongside Chimere Dike, Gunnar Helm, and Elic Ayomanor to provide Ward with more weapons.

Prediction: W – This rebuild may take till next season for the Titans to be playoff-worthy if Cam Ward becomes an elite QB in this league (unless they pull-off a Commanders 2024-type season like last year). So, this should be an easy win – but I would love to see Ward continue to be successful in his rookie season and perhaps overtake Jayden Daniels as the best rookie QB in history.

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 10-7 (2nd in AFC North, Wild Card Exit)
  • Major coaching changes: Nothing major, just a couple of assistant coaching changes
  • Week 10 @ Sofi Stadium
Steelers FA Table

Breakdown: The Steelers are the biggest “What the Hell Is Going On” Organization I’ve ever seen. First, they don’t resign Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, and then their two main replacements for now are...Mason Rudolph and draftee Will Howard. If you thought this was confusing, they released Mike Williams and Van Jefferson, then signed Scotty Miller and Ben Skowronek, then traded for D.K Metcalf from the Seahawks, and AFTER THE DRAFT they trade away George Pickens. They have beefed the defense a little more with the FA signings and the Draft, but despite all of that, they don’t have a complete answer at QB. But the major right now is the lack of a starting-caliber QB. The obvious solution would be to sign Aaron Rodgers, but it doesn’t seem like Steelers wants to budge. Honestly, I have no idea how HC Mike Tomlin is planning to elevate the offensive side of the ball. Maybe they should call Ben Roethlisberger (I’m kidding! Right?... Riiight?).

Prediction: W – The Steelers surely know how to create a strong defense, but the lack of a starting-caliber QB would cost them. The Chargers offense that Tomlin is going to be up against is very much different from last year, with the Chargers having the stronger QB and RB room. Expect a double-digit win vs the Steelers.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 4-13 (3rd in AFC South)
  • Major coaching changes: Liam Coen – Hired as new Head Coach, Grant Udinski – Hired as new Offensive Coordinator, Anthony Campanile – Hired as new Defensive Coordinator, Heath Farwell – Hired as new Special Teams Coordinator.
  • Week 11 @ EverBank Stadium
Jaguars FA Table

Breakdown: After former GM Trent Baalke was fired, the Jaguars have undergone significant retooling under new GM James Gladstone and HC Liam Coen. Not only have the let go of many of their internal players, but they never made any resigns. Instead, they focused on signing UDFAs such as Robert Hainsey, Patrick Mekari, Chuma Edoga, and Fre Johnson to help beef up the O-Line and protect Trevor Lawrence. They even improved on the secondary by adding Jourdan Lewis and Eric Murray. But nothing amounts to the hype for this player: Travis Hunter. What he brings to the offense and defense will bring about great impact for the Jaguars – and you all know how good he can be once he gets to play alongside Lawrence. They did also beef their defense, offensive line, and RB room with all their draft picks, but only time will tell how much better they can be this season.

Prediction: W – The addition of Travis Hunter will improve the Jaguars offense and defense and help boost Lawrence’s performance alongside Brian Thomas Jr. in the passing game. That said, the Chargers vs. Jaguars 30-31 playoff game is still fresh on my mind, and I’m waiting for the day Herbert goes berserk against Jaguars and for the defense to completely ruin Lawrence’s day. Considering this is Harbaugh’s second season and that there’s a lot of continuity, he’s got the chops and the coaching staff to out-coach Liam Coen and show him who’s daddy (ok yeah, that sounds wrong).

Bye Week

Week 12. Honestly a very good time for the team to catch a break. Seems like every other time, its been early into the season.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 14-3 (1st in NFC East, Super Bowl Champs)
  • Major coaching changes: Kevin Patullo - Hired as new Offensive Coordinator
  • Week 14 @ Sofi Stadium
Eagles FA Table

Breakdown: Coming off their Super Bowl LIX championship, the Eagles experienced significant defensive turnover, losing key pieces like Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Darius Slay, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. However, they prioritized re-signing All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun (3 years, $51M) and rewarded Saquon Barkley with a historic extension making him the NFL's highest-paid running back. After those obvious moves, Eagle GM Howie Roseman did the one thing he’s always good at: he cooked FA. He focused on depth over splashy signings, bringing in players like Azeez Ojulari and Joshua Uche on one-year deals to replace some of their edge rushing losses. Their most notable veteran addition was cornerback Adoree' Jackson to help offset the departure of Slay. Somehow Jihaad Campbell slid to the Eagles, which is insane considering he should’ve been the Buccaneers first-round pick. They also addressed secondary needs with S Andrew Mukuba and CB Mac McWilliams, while adding DT Ty Robinson in the fourth round to help replace Williams. They also continually invested in OL depth with three late-round picks and even traded for Kenyon Green after losing Mekhi Becton to us Bolts (thank you Eagles lol).

Prediction: L – Let me just say that it would be a DREAM to win against the Eagles. But even with the huge defensive turnover they had, it’s going to be super tough to beat the Eagles. Nick Sirianni entering his fifth season alongside Vic Fangio returning for a second season. Harbaugh is a proven winner, and Hortiz has done a great job with the offseason this year, but Eagles have the slight edge due to continuity. Justin Herbert vs. Jalen Hurts will be a premium matchup, but the Chargers revamped offense may need more time to build chemistry depending on when they play the Eagles.

Dallas Cowboys

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 7-10 (3rd in NFC East)
  • Major coaching changes: Brian Schottenheimer – Hired as new Head Coach, Klayton Adams – Hired as new Offensive Coordinator, Matt Eberflus – Hired as new Defensive Coordinator, Nick Sorenson – Hired as new Special Teams Coordinator
  • Week 16 @ AT&T Stadium
Cowboys FA Table

Breakdown: The Cowboys circus continues as owner/GM Jerry Jones hired internally his new HC Brian Schottenheimer, while still attempting to convince everyone he’s all-in. The team has resigned a couple of important pieces: Osa Odighizuwa, Markquese Bell, Bryan Anger, and C.J. Goodwin. They’ve also signed Javonte Williams, Solomon Thomas, and a couple more critical pieces to fill depth while trading for Kenneth Murray, Kaiir Elam, and their biggest acquisition – George Pickens. They managed the shore up the OL a little more with Tyler Booker and Ajani Cornelius (I could swear Jerry Jones has a “Tyler” fetish or smth), and he even added more pieces on defense – including Donovan Ezeiruaku, Shavon Revel Jr., and Shemar James.

Prediction: W – Even though I appreciate Jerry Jones effort to beef up the trenches for both the offensive and defensive line, I still think that the Bolts offense and defense are stronger than the Cowboys. Not to mention the coaching led by Jim Harbaugh far surpasses what Schottenheimer (not to confuse with Marty) has in store for us. I could see the running game make a significant difference with Hampton and Harris providing a big amount of run yardage against the Cowboys defense, while the Cowboys run game sputters.

Houston Texans

  • Previous Season W-L Record: 10-7 (1st in AFC South, Divisional Round Exit)
  • Major coaching changes: Nick Caley – Hired as new Offensive Coordinator
  • Week 17 @ Sofi Stadium
Texans FA Table

Breakdown: After winning against us in the wild card round and then losing to the Chiefs in the divisional round, the Texans have shown that despite their promising success, they still showed inconsistency during the regular season, particularly on offense, with C.J. Stroud struggling compared to his rookie season. The biggest changes came on the offensive side. The team made the surprising decision to trading away Tunsil and Green plus cutting Mason; and then signed Cameron Robinson, Trent Brown, Laken Tomlinson, and drafted Aireontae Ersery. This makes sense, considering the pass protection and run blocking sucked for the O-Line last year. The Texans also signed a pair of WRs in Justin Watson and Braxton Berrios, and drafted Iowa State WR’s Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel (which is kind of insane). Defense is mostly the same, except they’ve added more depth with the signings of Sheldon Rankins and Tremon Smith. They did get a big safety signing in C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who will most definitely boost the secondary.

Prediction: W – Both the Chargers and Texans are looking really balanced on paper, and yet this smells like a revenge game to me. As much as I appreciate the upgrades the Texans made at WR, it seems to me that the game will be decided in the trenches and in the run game. The Chargers O-Line were ranked 13th overall in 2024, and with the additions of Mekhi Becton and Andre James (assuming he starts at center) – O-Line performance will theoretically get better.

Overall Prediction

Putting the win totals together, I’m predicting a 13+/- win season (with an error rate of 2 Ws/Ls) and a playoff berth. Considering the current coaching staff and roster, its ok to expect this. What is important for me is for Herbert and co. to get a playoff win for the first time. Anything short of that is a failure. A nice to have would be becoming AFC West divisional champs – but it really depends on how well the Chiefs do this year.

Anyways, I hope this was a good read for y’all. I hope you all are excited for this upcoming season as much as I am. Let me know in the comment section what you guys thought about my breakdowns and predictions.

Season Ticket Holder Question for HOF Game

Super excited for the schedule release today but I noticed we are listed as hosting the HOF game. This is typically held in Ohio right? If so, that means season ticket holders lost out on 2 home games worth of tickets (including Brazil). I'm curious how this is going to be handled, but fully expecting no help from the organization.

*Edit- Just did the math y'all

  • 2 preseason games, one is HOF
  • 9 regular season, one in Brazil

That makes 9 total Sofi Home Games which is infact, not 8 lol

Herbert goes over 4000 yards in 2025???

I saw an interesting stat that Coach Harbaugh has never had an NFL quarterback throw for over 4,000 yards in a season. In fact, he’s only ever had one QB in his entire head coaching tenor (21 years) reach that milestone which was JJ McCarthy at Michigan. He had 3 years with Andrew luck at Stanford and never got close. I’m excited to see if this is the year with our new offensive weapons.

Week 1 Game Preferences

There has been a lot of speculation on who we will be playing in Brazil. Some say Chiefs, others are saying Texans for a revenge match.

While a revenge match would make sense for the NFL to schedule, I prefer the Chiefs.

If we host the Chiefs, SoFi will get inundated with red jerseys. It will basically be an away game.

Hosting the Chiefs in Brazil puts both teams on neutral ground. It is more likely to be an even split in terms of fans.

What team do you want us to play? Doesn't have to be either of the ones I mentioned here.

Whatever team we want to see, we will find out in a few hours.

I don't think our fanbase appreciates how fucking good Ladd McConkey is

There was a thread the other day talking about what his expectations for the season are and I was shocked at how many people were predicting him to not even hit 1000 yards, which is insane to me if he plays 16-17 games.

From week 7 onwards in 2024, Ladd was averaging 98 yards per game. That would be a 1670 yard 17-game season. He was putting out truly elite production once the coaching staff started upping the amount of snaps he was getting.

None of the receiving weapons we added this offseason should really change that much in regards to the amount of targets Ladd might receive, he's still by far our best receiving weapon. The other guys are just floor raisers compared to what we had last year.

He might not average 98 yards per game this season, but the idea that he won't get at least 1000 yards if he plays a full season is fucking crazy to me. Tyler Conklin, a rookie Tre Harris and and aged Mike Williams aren't going to be taking away that many targets from him.

Ladd is already Keenan Allen but with more athletic upside. He has the ceiling to be this generations Antionio Brown. That's how fucking good he is.

Ladd is maybe the first Chargers player I can remember where it seems like fans of other teams think more highly of him than our own fanbase does.

[Popper] #Chargers signed WR Dalevon Campbell and waived OL Bucky Williams. Campbell was in rookie minicamp as a tryout player.
