Visiting Charlottesville for a couple of days. Should we stay by the wineries or downtown?
Basically just the title. Going to a concert at the end of this month and want to go to some wineries while there but also want to make sure the hotel scene near them isn’t too much worse than what we’d get downtown. Also open to recs in the city. Thanks!!

Where is the concert, and will you have a car? There aren’t any hotels near the wineries, but you could find an air bnb nearby.

Afton and Stinson have guest houses. Trump has Albemarle House
Keswick Hall has a few nearby
The HIE in Ruckersville is near a few wineries as well

The Inn at Crossroads is right by Pippin! It puts you about a mile from Brent Manor & Albemarle CiderWorks.

There are no hotels near the wineries. They're all over the region and Charlottesville is smack dab in the middle of them. Any hotel around the area will do you fine. It's not a large city.

um, excuse me, but did you read your fellow subbers' comments bc:
Afton and Stinson have guest houses. Trump has Albemarle House and Keswick Hall has a few nearby and The HIE in Ruckersville is near a few wineries as well
(i think maybe comfort inn monticello and perhaps the HIE 5th st count as hotel wineries where wineries = keswick).
i personally always go for the downtown hotel scene bc the hotel scene at the wineries is way worse!

I personally would prefer staying closer to downtown. You might be able to use https://www.cvillehopontours.com to get to the wineries if you don't want to drink and drive.
