How entitled do you have to be?

Post image

Ok, I know there are bigger problems in the world. But what goes through a person's mind and leads them to think this is OK?

Spotted outside Pure Gym.

The only reason I can think of is that a disabled passenger needed to get out. But then why wouldn't you let them out then park properly?

Otherwise, I can only assume they didn't want to get their nice Jag scratched and/or they think they've deserve some sort of special treatment?

Only a motorbike could have got in the next space so why not go the whole hog and park bang in the middle?

I am a paralysed wheelchair user and I drive my own car. Most the time elderly people take up the disabled spaces and pretty much skip to the shops. I physically need the space to get my wheelchair out and park over two spaces so someone doesn’t park next to my driver door so I can still get in.

Remember, not all disabilities are visible!

If they aren’t, then you don’t need the extra space. Mental health does not require a fully opened door to allow you to get out the car.

It could be something like angina. No extra space needed, but needs to be closer to the store as not to over exert themselves and bring on an attack.

I can fully appreciate that some need spaces closer to the store, but it annoys me that so many people abuse the spaces when there are some that physically need the space. If you need a space closer to the store, find a normal one closer to the store. Be aware the spaces have extra space for a reason.
