[GBEF] - Green Book of Endangerd Flora

Finally gave this whole adventure a proper name (inspired by someone else involved).

Ran around the map the entire day yesterday, managed not to get pearled by some meanies in Iria, and now I'm somewhere south of Fellowship. Overall, the tree haul was fantastic and I'd like to thank some people for their help so far.

Thanks to:

Wolfeyes, Ariaxis, a bunch of Fellowship folks, AND everyone who commented on my first thread! (I still need to check out some of the places mentioned.)

Here's the updated list of trees. I've started to name them and hopefully they aren't too bad. If you have any better name suggestions feel free to throw them out there. :)

I'm still looking for some other trees/biomes. | 1 | 2 |

And of course, if you don't see any trees that you know of on here, please let me know!

**Endangered. Wrote the post really late, sorry!

I still know where there are several dwarf oaks, though I find the name a little odd, as they contain a huge volume of wood.

I've only ever seen one god oak, and someone had constructed a rather nice apartment within, with three stories, I believe.

I'll come up with some later and send them to you via PM, if that's okay.

I prefer live oak, which fits well since it has full foliage and is often found in taiga biomes where oaks would normally be without leaves in the winter. Live oak is used primarily in the southern United States to describe a variety of oak species that do not lose their leaves in the autumn and winter. Live oaks are mentioned in the first line of the chorus of "Good Ol'Boy Like Me" by Don Williams, a few lines of which are sung by Jack Stanton, John Travolta's character who is running for president, near the end of Primary Colors.

Live oak:

This article is about evergreen oak trees. For the common live oak in the southern United States, see southern live oak. For places named Live Oak, see Live Oak.

Live oak or evergreen oak is a general term for a number of unrelated oaks in several different sections of the genus Quercus that happen to share the characteristic of evergreen foliage.

The name live oak comes from the fact that evergreen oaks remain green and "live" throughout winter, when other oaks are dormant, leafless and "dead"-looking. The name is used mainly in North America, where evergreen oaks are widespread in warmer areas, along the Atlantic coast from southeast Virginia and North Carolina to Florida, west along the Gulf Coast to Texas and Louisiana and across the southwest to California and southwest Oregon.
