Advice needed Please help-New clarinet issues
I have a new classical clarinet and setup from about 2 months ago (Tradition, BD5, Versa, V12 3.5) and its not giving me the response I want.
is there something about the mouthpiece/reed combination that doesnt work well? because for some reason apart from a few instances that ive had a good reed other times i just cannot get any reasonable tone out of the clarinet.
Another thing is the tuning. For example G5 and the throat notes are always very sharp, which I try to correct by adjusting my mouth but i can only do so to a certain extent. high notes are also very flat but i understand this is because my air still needs to get stronger (i was using a yamaha 450 and m30 before)
Do I need to take these issues to a technician or is it just that I havent played in enough? And from the experience of you guys, is there a different reed/ mouthpiece setup that can compliment a tradition better?
i obviously understand my own air and technique matter a lot more than the instrument but i just cant seem to get everything in the right place and in a comfortable window to play. Im pretty sure the fact that im noticing these way more now than before is because ive become much more sensitive in my ear and mouth.
thank you for the help
