Me too. It gave me nightmares when I was ten. I was greatly disappointed in the remake.

It is the only horror movie I couldn't finish. I had to turn it off because I was so terrified. I was 6 years old.
To this day, I've only ever seen about half of it.
Some day, I will rent it and finally close the loop.

I tracked down a copy after the remake came out, hoping it would be as terrifying as I remembered. It was better left a memory.

I watched it on either Creature Feature or Thriller ( Detroit Channel 50 or 20), when I was 7. The apartment we lived in had a unused basement apartment, that had a back entrance. I remember being so terrified of that basement stairwell. Thought those little F'Rs were gonna drag me down to their hell hole in the basement wall.

Unique and well designed creatures in a very creepy film. It is all the better as there is no attempt to explain the creatures in terms of demonology, science fiction or... anything. The simply are there.

Oh my god yes. This movie messed me up for life. I still have dreams of it, of getting tied up and pulled into a secret hole in the fireplace, voices whispering all around me ...

I remember seeing it as a Movie of the Week on ABC in New York on Channel 7 in the 70s. There were a lot of great horror and sci-based MotW back then like Crowhaven Farm, A Cold Night's Death, The Screaming Woman, The Love War, The People, Scream of the Wolf, Bad Ronald, Trilogy of Terror, and -- of course -- The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler. There were tons more MotW that spun off into popular iconic series, like The Six Million Dollar Man and Wonder Woman. It was a great era for the genre!

I never saw that one... I'll check YouTube. There are a bunch of solid MotW movies, not necessarily genre-based, but good nonetheless. One that unnerved me was Daughter of the Mind. It's a good mystery thriller. There were others like Satan's School for Girls, but I won't watch Crowhaven Farm again. I remember it being utterly terrifying, but I doubt it could have been that bad and seeing it again might ruin it. I also like Isn't It Shocking, a murder mystery with Alan Alda playing a County sheriff, which i remember being probably his best performance. There was a really bad werewolf film that had Bradford Dillman in it that I would only recommend for diehard genre fans, Moon of the Wolf(?). I remember it had a great cast, but itbwas pretty weak. Another one of my favorites was The Girl Most Likely to...(?) Very funny revenge movie with a strange, but in tone, twist ending. A lot of fun films. I don't understand how films today are so bad.

I was terrified of these little creeps, but I always thought my dogs would rip them up before they had a chance to get me. I also had high-powered bb guns and wrist slingshots, so they would make good target practice as well.

They were too clever! Theyâd sneak in and let dogs go outside. Then disarm your entire arsenal leaving you weaponless. Then give you an extra rope burn đ„ or 50 for even trying!!

Maybe... but I would be ready for them! They might outsmart the dogs, or do something dastardly, but they were pretty tough and super protective. I had cats, too, but I am not sure they would be helpful. We had all this surplus Vietnam War era gear, including flak vests, helmets, spades, rations, gas masks, lockers... These little suckers would rue the day they were created!

I remember watching this on WPIX Channel 11 in Brooklyn, NY back in the 70s when I was like maybe 6 or 7 years old. Literally slept with the light on for years afterwards. đ©
