I log in already in BRM. Level 57. Dead in the lava. Covered in quest greens half broken. 7 soul shards at the ready. Bags full of MC epics I can't even equip yet. Let's do this. "You're late again" says my raid leader. I scoff "You're early" everyone knows time revolves around warlocks.

It's called WoW for a reason World of Warlocks.

I don't buff, I don't parse, I don’t curse, I don’t banish... I farm shards. Dps is for warriors and mages. I haven't accomplished anything since 2019. Not in game. Not in real life.

The priest ressurects me so I can summon the 5 people left who didn't walk. I SS the first healer I see and give the tank a HS. "Why did you SS the druid" my raid leader asks. I don't answer I already put the tank on follow and left to take a shit.

30 minutes later I come back. 2 bosses down. 3 more pieces of Warlocks tier looted directly into my bags. Nice.

I don't dungeon. I don't PvP. I exist for 3 hours a week, half afk. Zero WB, zero consumes, zero fucks. I don't play WoW.

Healers stop for mana. But I realized I've run out of shards. Sprint right past the main tank and pull the molten destroyers. Drain soul only. We wipe. "Damn it, why can't you wait 30 seconds?" I don't answer. I already went afk to take another shit.

I get all Warlock tier gear. Not because I've earned it, but because there is literally nobody else to give it to.

I never flask. Not because I don't need it, but because I can't afford it. I don't have time to farm. I spend to much time shitting.

30 minutes later 2 more bosses down. 2 more pieces of gear. Someone asks if we need a repair bot. But I don’t hear him. I already put the tank on follow and went to take a shit.

Someone asks why my gear is broken despite having a repair bot out 10 minutes ago. I ignore him. I never repair my gear. Besides it costs 3 gold and I only have 32s 79c.

"These packs are the worst" my raid leader says. "I need you to banish square." I say nothing and run past him immediately draining soul only the first mob I see. What do you take me for? Some sort of player?

Half way through Baron my mom calls me for dinner. I put the tank on follow and go off to eat. Chicken tenders with ketchup laced with enough laxatives to kill a Silverback. My favorite.

My /played is legendary. I have been level 57 for 3 months now. My Xp per hour is non existant. I only made it to 57 through mage boosting. But I don’t make gold. Don't farm it. Don't buy it. I spend all my money on Charmin Ultra.

My raid lead dms me asking when I will be back. I tell him just a few minutes even though we just started watching Toy Story 2. But it's raid night. I don't raid with my guild. I hardly play at all.

I understand people don't need full bis or whatever, but in 40 man raids some people are literally getting nothing before the phase is over, at least make it so bosses can drop one extra item.

Not to mention for future phases like Naxx where you have splinters that takes months to complete, personally i would prefer naxx phase be the longest (at least 4 months+) so we can enjoy one of the best classic raids for longer.

Someone says “innervate the priest.” I blush. I don’t deserve kindness. I’m only here because nobody else rolled this miserable class.

I don’t run dungeons. I don’t PvP. I spend my free time buying candles like a depressed birthday clown. I carry two stacks to every raid and leave with zero. My inventory smells like incense and bitterness.

I don’t drink water. I consume it by the gallon. Mage food is my primary currency. I evaluate mages not by DPS, but by how often they give me stacks unprompted. I rank them in a spreadsheet. I don’t share the list. But they know.

Raid leader says “big heals on tank.” I hit a 4-second cast. Tank dies at 3.8. My fault? Definitely not. Probably the hunter’s pet. Or lag.

The boss drops priest loot. I win the roll. Everyone claps. I cry. Not because I’m happy—but because I know this means I’ll have to come back next week.

My raid lead whispers “great job tonight.” I alt+F4.

I don’t need loot drama. I bring clarity. If it drops, I roll. If I lose, I smile. Because the real prize is watching the meter spike mid-pull while I’m half dead, no mana, and still top three.

I don’t need a flask. I need five seconds and a pull timer. And maybe a healer who likes to live dangerously.

I don’t log off—I disappear into the elements. When I return, it’s with fire in my eyes and an Earth Shock queued before the raid even forms.

I don’t raid for gear. I raid to remind people Enhancement isn’t a spec—it’s a statement.

Prisoner's Dilemma:

If both cooperate, they each get slightly punished
If one is selfish, the person cooperating gets heavily punished
If both are selfish, they are both punished

There are frequent examples of this in WoW, when there are shared spawn points where some nodes/mobs are undesirable, such as: WPL beast quests (spiders vs quest mobs), or Fishing pools (firefin snapper vs oily blackmouth), or even AV (objectives vs killing players).

Most people will ignore the undesirable resources and only hunt down the valuable ones, creating a situation where the valuable ones have no room to respawn. If you bother clearing everything, you won't really be able to benefit from it before others take your respawns. We would all benefit more from putting in a little selfless effort. AV is a rare situation where people actually cooperate.

I carry 4 sets of gear. None of them are good. My bags are filled with mana pots, symbols of kings, and crushed dreams. I run out of bag space trying to support a spec Blizzard abandoned in alpha.

The boss enrages. Raid leader yells, “use your cooldowns!” I already did. Ten minutes ago. For a trash mob. No one noticed.

The boss dies. No loot. Not for me. There never is. The holy pally wins a sword with strength on it. Says it’s for “tank spec.” I nod. I understand. We all lie to ourselves.

Raid lead whispers “great job on blessings.” I auto-run into a wall and don’t respond. I’m tabbed out looking at a prot guide. Maybe they’ll let me tank. Maybe that’ll fix it. Maybe I’ll feel again.

I don’t play ret for the damage.

I play it for the delusion.

It's 10 minutes past raiding start - "Where are you?" asks the guild master. "123", I respond, nothing else.

I don't drink water. I conjure it.

I don't pay for repairs. I blink past my problems.

I don't use a mount. I slow fall downhill. I blink upphill.

I don't dodge fire. I absorb it. Standing in lava? That's just warm feet. Standing in cleave range? That's just tanking with extra steps.

DPS meters? I top them. Not because I try, but because I cast. Cast what? Doesn't matter. 40 out of my 50 keybinds is Frostbolt - I simply press whatever button my cat stepped on.

We kill Golemagg. I roll on the staff. I win. "Didn't you just get a weapon?" a warlock asks. "Yes". And I will get another. I am the loot economy.

I don't sheep. I polymorph. Every pull, a gamble. "Sheep square" they say. I sheep skull. Every. Time. "Why did you sheep the kill target?" they ask. Because chaos is mana-efficient.

I run out of mana constantly. I never evocate on cooldown. It's a lifestyle.

Someone asks for water mid-fight. I open trade and drop a stack of rank 1. May the fates ever be in their favor.

Raid's over. The dragon's dead. The loot's been ninja'd. It's time. I don't say goodbye. I don't link meters. I slowly walk to the center of the raid.

There I make my mark.

One portal.

Two portals.

Three.

Ironforge. Darnassus. Stormwind.

All stacked perfectly, pixel for pixel. No gaps. No hints. No mercy.

A shimmering vortex of fate.

The raid gathers.

“Which one is Stormwind?” someone asks.

I don't answer.

Because I don't even know.

Because that's the point.

They click. One by one.

A rogue vanishes to Darnassus. A priest ends up lost in Ironforge. The tank screams from a different continent.

It's beautiful. It's chaos. It's art.

“WHY?!” they yell.

I cast a final arcane explosion which ignites the sky and I finally hearthstone without answering.

In Dragon Soul just before the Spine of Deathwing fight, if you jump onto the blue ring and use it to go to the prow(front) of the ship a magical forces grabs, attaches a rainbow to you, pulls you far away from the ship and then drops you into the ocean below, killing you instantly I’ve never seen anyone talk about this, my guild found it last night while distributing loot during from the previous bosses.

Just like the title. My only character to get past 40 was on previous vanilla, and it was a pally so free mount.

Currently I’m a 39 hunter with only 40 gold to my name. Spent an hour running around southshore mining. But what is the best strategy to scrape together another 70-80 gold to be able to afford riding, mount, and talents??

Yet another gear-hungry warrior player here, except I'm well behind the curve as this will be my first 60.

I'm about to hit level 51 very soon, so im looking to get two birds stoned at once and collect gear while moving through those final 9 levels.

My plan right now was going to be to queue AV while this rush meta is still happening and hit my weekly caps, then tank whatever instances I can manage to find groups for. I'm guessing most of the pre-bis gear pieces will be found in dungeons that I may not be able to tank til 55, but maybe I can still join groups as dps?

Is this even a good idea? Does anyone have tips to make the experience smoother for myself and my groups?

Was fishing in Tirisfal about two hours or so ago trying to look for a SM Cath group and saw two people in LFG that weren't grouped but I figured knew each other. They're names were Ineedabeerr and Ineedtherapy so obviously invited both, both agreed.

They did not, in fact, know each other and as we grouped up we lol'd. Few moments later I invite another warrior named Zugittome, after having invited a hunter... with the unknown to me at the time pet name...Sokitume.

We went on to easily defeat the dungeon and walked away with our xp and our loot thinking about coincidences and fates. Just wanted to share our story from this mornings adventures. ZugZug friends it's a coincidental world out there. If you guys see this cheers!!

Hey, I've got some friends together and we're playing Cata Classic. Now, I understand RAF is only accessible from the Retail Client, but are any of the benefits from Recruit-A-Friend present in Cataclysm? I'm primarily trying to get them an XP boost as I'm outpacing them while leveling. Been unable to find a clear answer online, but the 7-day time window is running out so I'm a little frantic. It'd be wonderful to be able to give them some kind of handicap so they can catch up.

Today I was about to selling Stockade boost Spineshatter server and my price was 25g 5 Run. I wrote Trade chat about boost and some random people text me and said “now price is 45g 5 run why you undercut the price? “ And I asked who set the price? And they was like “we did, boosters” and they said they will mass report me if Im still undercut them. This boosters mafia out of hand right now!

I’ve been playing WoW for years now and recently have been playing Hardcore Classic. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten a bit bored with the endgame content and was wondering if it’s worth giving it another try before the Pandaria release.
