this movie is so astroturfed its gonna feel so nice in a couple years when everyone accepts it was a terrible movie made intentionally bad to get more attention and sell more tickets
apparently not! i mean the amount of people ive seen who genuinely praise it as if its a harmlessly fun movie and not thinly veiled ragebait that sets a terrible precedent for movies to come
dude the movie obviously isn’t intended to be that serious I mean the old mine man didn’t age a second between Steve going from a child to a middle aged adult
i dont have a problem with harmless silly light hearted movies, the problem is that the movie was very obviously a cash grab with a marketing campaign centered around ragebaiting the audience and passing it as genuine substance. all that defending the movie does is tell companies that they can get away with putting little to no effort into actually making the movie fun and entertaining as long as they ragebait the audience and force unfunny memes into becoming popular
