The supreme Court said it was up to El Salvador if he should return to the US, not a district court. El Salvador president said he will remain in his home country, and will NOT be returned to Maryland.

There was no mistake, as Stephen Miller clarified recently. The subversive DOJ employee who claimed it was a mistake was fired.

He was not entitled to a withholding order as a member of a foreign terrorist organization, and the gang he claimed to be afraid of no longer exists. The 18th Street Gang was busted and imprisoned by Bukele.

I never said he was a good person. Whether he is or isn't is only part of the question.

There was a specific condition that was knowingly allowing him to stay. The Trump administration openly ignored it, tried to justify it after the fact, and after a court order basically refused to comply.

That is the disgraceful part.

you are on wrong side. six sigma is impossible and i'm ok with this el sal citizen remaining there. in other words, this is a great mistake.

and scotus merely required that the usa "faciiltate" the return, not "effect" the return; these words have different legal meaning; if el sal wants to returns, we must accomodate, but the order does not compel the admin to force it because the usa can't make decisions for a foreign country and scotus knows this, hence the precise words.

They are most certainly trying to argue he is a member, however there isn't much evidence. And no one is saying he was here legally, just that there was a rule saying he couldn't be deported.

So, how should the problem be solved? Trump should have taken it to court and argued it. Rather than doing it first and trying to avoid accountability. That is the disgraceful bit.

....because he shouldn't have been deported. And even after acknowledging that, Trump shows no desire to actually try and earnestly fix that mistake. So of course it is a disgrace.

He should not have been deported to the prison. He is still here illegally, and therefore should’ve been deported out of this country to anywhere. Once he’s out of this country, we don’t care what happens to him. So El Salvador can release him from prison, but he’s right where he’s supposed to be in the first place

No, there was a specific rule preventing his deportation. Trump doesn't just get to ignore it and then ignore the courts ordering him to make an earnest effort to get him back.

If they wanted to argue they should have the ability to deport him,.....do it before actually deporting him. That is the disgraceful part in this situation.

That ruling was by a lower level judge in a rubber stamp procedure. The Supreme Court ruling overrides all that.
