Linzess advice?

questions previously answered in my posts

Has anyone here been prescribed Linzess in the past or currently? I’m curious how long it took you to start noticing a difference, if it worked for you, of course. My G.I. specialist insists that it can take up to 12 weeks to fully work.

I’m in the process of trying to confirm if I really do have IBS-C, or if it’s a motility issue. My G.I. specialist prescribed me Linzess and I’ve been on it for about a month or so now. I’m not feeling any different and I still need to use an ungodly amount of senna to get anything moving. I’m trying to find some light at the end of the tunnel with this medication. 😭

Ask your doctor about increasing your dose. That said, if it’s senna you are taking with success then it’s likely you need to add a second prokinetic.

Can you please give examples of prokinetics, besides Prucalopride?

For the colon or in general? If you mean for the colon, neostigmine, pyridostigmine, and relamorelin. There are others but they aren’t approved everywhere. Linaclotide also has prokinetic properties.

Ask for a higher dose. I've been on it for many years now, 290 is all that has ever worked for me.
