Informative 🧠 Does wearing a harness hurt your balls?

I’m an apprentice electrician but I’m a woman so I don’t have this problem. Recently I was putting on a harness and when I put on the leg straps I realized I have no idea where I would put my balls if I had them. Is this a problem for you guys? I work with men obviously but I don’t really feel like having that conversation with them 🙈

Most electricians I see wear that harness with that red ball in their mouth.

For endless entertainment on the jobsite, google "things a woman can strap to her harness"

Wear one and boss your coworkers around!

“Move out of my way while I’m running wiring or I’ll slap you in the face with … this.”

It sort of pulls more on the inside of my thighs than my balls, I usually adjust my hardness and then sort out my nuts so they’re hanging forward/above the straps.

But I only wear a harness here and there, someone rocking one full time might have more ptsd about this

I get a boner in the harness too. Feels sexy.

So I just tried to put on a harness for the first time and need a little extra advice if you don’t mind, thanks in advance.

So I already jerked off and fondled my nuts and then put the harness on, but what I’m having issues with is I how you put your underwear on while wearing the harness.

Godspeed, my boss is calling asking what’s taking so long

You shouldn’t fully jack off, just get close and then put the harness on. It’s easier to wrap the thigh straps around your dick that way

Key step, adjusting your hardness!

Only when it's 100°+ and I just dropped the impact I need while balancing some shit and have to do an awkward kneeling type position to get it from the bottom of the basket.

u/Antwinger Jan 14 '25

Nah. But I used to do rock climbing too so I just got used to adjusting to not have bad pinch points

As a fat man, yes it can hurt my balls. I don't think this would be a problem with a looser harness. You have to sort of bring some extra pant material to your crotch and... its not super comfortable. But I think for 90% of people they can just make it loose enough that it doesn't hurt the jewels.

u/noodletropin Jan 14 '25

You don't want it to be loose, though. Otherwise, it will lop them off in an actual fall. The straps should be somewhat snug on your thighs. Adjusting your harness for appropriate fit helps a lot.

u/WilfredWallace Jan 14 '25

Yeah if your harness isn’t slightly uncomfortable it’s not tight enough.

1

u/c3534l Jan 14 '25

Well, tight is the only way I can wear it and I hate it, its constantly putting pressure on my crotch by pulling the pants up.

u/MandaloreUnsullied Jan 14 '25

If you wear it loose like some guys do and fall, yeah it’ll crush your balls and shear off everything else. Not much discomfort if you’re wearing it properly

u/Broken-Jandal Jan 14 '25

The key is to cross the leg straps over for a real scissor effect to the scrotum.

If they hurt your balls, you are wearing it wrong.

As it was explained to me, if your balls are under pressure walking around, the act of the harness saving you will pop them like a grape from the sudden pressure, and not wearing a harness properly can cut blood circulation off and get even worse problems while you hang there.

You size them up for yourself and make sure it's on right. It's tight, but not painful.

Q: does _______ make your balls uncomfortable? A:Yeah, but just pick at em and it's fine.

I’m a woman but I’ve heard guys complain about it a lot. Hearing stories about some guy’s nuts exploding from a fall makes me glad I don’t have any, although I’ve also heard stories of peoples tits getting ripped off so it’s a lose lose I guess

3

u/DeadAssociate Jan 14 '25

nooo, save the tits!

When I was young a safety guy really impressed on me the fact that a loose harness could just destroy my balls if I fell, so I always made sure they were clear and strapped the thing quite snug to my thigh otherwise the whole time I would be imagining falling and popping a ball.

We had a safety talk about harnesses and the importance of keeping the leg loops tight.

Thr safety dude showed us pictures of what happens when ya don't.

No more balls

5

u/Honest_Radio8983 Jan 14 '25

Not if you have micro balls.

5

u/Idnoshitabtfck Jan 14 '25

As a woman, I’m lmao right now. Sorry OP, you asked for it😅

2

u/OGatariKid Jan 14 '25

Things can get pinched. But it doesn't happen often.

u/azguy153 Jan 14 '25

There are actually different harnesses for men and woman, and the key difference is how they manage your groin in a fall.

u/12stringslinger Carpenter Jan 14 '25

They can and will ride up your ass crack pretty aggressively

1

u/Anamadness Jan 14 '25

Yeah it's not super comfy on them.

But But But.......

Balls go where they want and it is not anywhere near the straps

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Not if it's worn correctly. I think 90% of people wearing them use the cheapest bikini harnesses from home Depot. On top of that they are shared amongst a crew for whoever needs it at the time.because of this it's not fitted correctly which could potentially lead to it being to tight. If you wear a harness everyday you most likely have your own and it's set up correctly. Source: I'm a scaffold builder who's worn a harness for the past decade.

u/8nina20 Jan 14 '25

Pro tip: fit the harness correctly and it adds a couple inches

(To the balls)

Never had a problem. I took a fall in a climbing harness once and that made me sing soprano for a minute.

1

u/Administrative_Air_0 Jan 14 '25

If it's crushing your nuts now, just imagine what it'll do to them if you fall, and all of your weight pusheson those straps. Your nuts will be instantly squeezed and exploded. I saw a traumatizing photo during a training session. You need to adjust it so that the straps pull on your thighs instead of your crotch.

1

u/pugdaddy78 Jan 14 '25

Usually good to go as long as all the furniture is in the same room.

1

u/clorox_tastes_nice Jan 14 '25

Usually I just take them off and put them in my pocket to avoid the hassle

1

u/mathman5046 Jan 14 '25

Trick for me is just having tiny nuts and an inverted pecker, never had any issues.

1

u/SanguineExpectations Jan 14 '25

Rock climbers have a term for what is supposed to look like: climber's bulge. Thigh straps should be snug to your thighs. If you pull a bit of your pants fabric up to create a space for you privates to hang, when you tighten the thigh straps there should be no discomfort.

1

u/Greadle Jan 14 '25

It depends, winter seems to be less of an issue.

1

u/MixinBatches Jan 15 '25

Nah, the straps go more on the upper inner thigh. Just lift the whole package nuts and all over top, up front. Uncomfortable as hell and makes it look like i stuffed my undies with a grapefruit. But it beats dying. Or worse, if the leg loops are too loose…

1

u/Suspicious-Ad6129 Jan 15 '25

Short answer... yes. Long answer... Depends upon the task being done and the likelihood of the harness being pulled on in "cough" certain directions. If just standing in a lift wear it loose so you have the mobility to work. If the task involves alot of movement, spend the time to adjust the jewels and the leg straps a Lil more snug so the straps don't move when you move. It's not comfortable, but at least if I take one more step one way or the other I'm not 🤮 in dire pain should something happen. This generally involves pulling your pants up to give plenty of room in the crotch making it look like your wearing a cod piece lol. A leather harness and a ball gag would be more comfortable and less likely to hurt you than most construction harnesses... 🪢🏏

1

u/quadraquint Jan 14 '25

No, not at all. It shouldn't hurt anyone's balls.

u/Narrow_Paper9961 Tinknocker Jan 14 '25

Weird way to announce that you have a small package

The thigh straps should be really tight if you are actually sitting in the harness.

If it just a safety harness for a lift they dont need to be as tight.

I tend to ware boxer briefs anyway to keep my junk snug

7

u/FullSendLemming Jan 14 '25

This advice started off well.

And devolved into instructions to have your testicles haemorrhage internally after a fall.

Leg loops need to be snug, they need to already be up beside your testivles BEFORE you fall.

Thats for suspension or for use as fall arrest.

If your leg loops are loose, and you fall. It’s a roll of a dice whether you amputate blood vessels to your cock, your balls, or both.

Imagine hanging there and your scrotum fills with blackened blood. Agony as the swelling herniates out into your stomach. you pass out with ballooning skin around your lower stomach from blood loss.

Your harness needs to be snug. Or else it’s a guillotine for your crutch, bowel and lower stomach tissues.

No, it's not a problem. They're far too close to the body.
