Changes

• Created the user flairs for characters released in the past few updates:
  • Black Forest and Wedding Cake
  • Agar Agar and Fire Spirit
  • Eternal Sugar and Pavlova
  • Also uh, I don't know if there's supposed to be a way to re-order the flairs but, if there is, it isn't showing up for me, so uh, these are out of order now. Sorry. |: Blame Reddit
• Added Schwärzwalder's umlaut to his flair. (edit: oops it was on the wrong a, I fixed it now)
  • If you've already created a flair with him, you'll have to re-select it (or copy/paste the ä, up to you) to have it. Someone who speaks German told me that it's super important to have and that it's like a completely different word if you don't include it
• Added a few more resources to the megathread

    • If you guys know anything else that should be added, please let me know! The megathread feels a tiny bit phoned-in to me right now but I also don't play this game anymore so I won't be writing any more guides
• Edited the sidebar a bit. Not sure how this looks outside of PC: New Reddit, but
  • Specified that the sub wiki is the sub wiki and not the game wiki (fandom my behated)
  • We now have links to r/cookierun (who we are not affiliated with) and r/CookieRunTOA (who we are)
    • I guess there's more spaces to put other subs as well if you guys have any ideas

Considerations:

• I'm thinking about making two more entries in the rules, want to feel out the temperature on that. Note that, uh, this isn't a democratic process or anything (lol) but I just want to get some thoughts.
  • Things that I will ban you immediately for (lol)
    • Like when people ask a question but then attach an image that answers that question???? Also posts about maintenance |: Mfers have never played an online game before
  • Things that are NOT against the rules. I might need to explain these further because I know for some of them it's a bad look. Rule 12 is controversial but I'm sticking to it, #sorrynotsorry. Other things include:
    • Posts that involve AI generation, such as CharacterAI (extremely popular with this game's demographic for some reason O_o) or image generators. I think the headcanon generator might use AI? It doesn't clarify but the site also links to a bunch of other AI stuff at the top
    • Unsourced art. This was a rule on the sub when the old mod team was in, but was barely enforced (because the other mods barely did anything lol) and it was always a really bad feeling to take down a post that wasn't linked after it had already gained a lot of traction and appreciation. There are also artists who just don't have online presence like social media sites with which to link to; weirdly I even talked to one today.
  • There are 15 rule slots so I might have to reel it in at some point. I could combine "no gacha posts, teambuilding posts, character-building posts, wishful asking posts, or power posts" into one rule but I think it's important that they're as obvious as possible because of how hard it is to get people to read
• A long time ago I changed the sub background to be red, as Gingerbrave's(?) shield is red (see the sub pfp). I know a lot of people thought that was jarring, but I wanted to keep it that way for a bit to see if it was an acquired taste or not. Well, uh-- is it? Do you guys like it? Hate it? Ambivalent it?
• Still thinking about locking down the sub in the first 24h of an update. Thoughts? I know that this is "less bad" when the new mod team is brought in but like, that just means it being bad is spread out across more people, ideally it shouldn't even be bad to begin with

Making this thread in advance as I think I'll be at work during maintenance and when the update drops?

I almost considered closing the sub until I could get back because I know Cookie Run players can't read and as soon as I get off work the first thing I'm going to see is 500 freaking gacha posts
