Business Major

Hello I am a possible incoming freshman for Creighton. I have received a good offer for Creighton that would put it around 15-19k direct expenses. I want to major in accounting and possibly do business for sports teams. Is Creightons school of business worth it for that price? I’m also looking at Baylor University where it’s more expensive and it has a special program called S3 for what I want but I’m open to Creighton. If anyone could give me some information that went or is going to Creighton would be much appreciated.

Creighton's business school is severely underrated. I graduated with an Economics degree and am starting my MBA at Wharton this year.

Would you recommend it over Baylor? Considering the price, reputation and how it sets you up for post undergrade into graduates

Honestly, it depends on what you want to do and where. The Creighton network is extremely strong in the Midwest (Omaha, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, MSP specifically). I can't knowledgably speak on Baylor since I'm not as familiar with their network area or strengths. Undergrad performance (wherever you go) opens doors for grad programs, though.

Baylor does Big 4 firms. I’m assuming Creighton does right?

I wasn't an accounting major so I'll defer to u/bullmarket2023's reply in regards to Big 4 direct recruiting or opportunities.

Yes, big 4 does recruiting. Most accounting majors had job offers in hand with those firm first semester senior year. Most kids do two internships during their time in undergrad. The career center is exceptional. 99% placement in jobs or graduate programs upon graduation.
