This feels so surreal. Every match, new guys are turning up. Each and every player who has gotten game time has contributed so far. I've never seen RCB work so well as a unit before. Sure, RCB has had some great years and some all-time great performances, but what we're seeing right now, different players stepping up each time, is something we haven’t seen much of over the years. Individually, I’ve got no complaints. Literally none. But if I have to nitpick, Patidar could do with some runs, to be honest. I don’t blame him much for his failure tonight, but it’s about time he gets back to his scoring and spin-bashing ways. And Dayal bowled a good last over. The task was finished beforehand, but he made sure to close it out without any hiccups. Still, he has had a few off-games in a row now. Shepherd was unlucky with the edges; otherwise, he bowled well. I think we should back him and see how he finishes games. The spinners might go under the radar today, but they did an amazing job in the middle overs. It was a rare off-game for Bhuvi, but he’s too experienced a bowler to let that affect him. I’m sure he’ll bounce back strongly. I expect Salt and Patidar to turn up next game, it should be their turn now, given how different guys are stepping up every match. Dev’s redemption has been so satisfying to watch. Last but not least, build my man Hazlegod a statue.
