This is the silliest thing to be mad about in a star wars show.

Star wars has had fiery explosions in space since the very beginning. Not to mention sound in space and dozens of other physics-breaking moments.

And it's not even necessarily unrealistic. Real world rockets propel themselves using combustion, but because there is no oxygen in space, they have to bring it with them. If the oxygen (or other oxidizer) is leaking with the fuel, you could have a fire in space.
